EPCOT Ball Pink?

I heard a rumor that the EPCOT ball is going to be painted pink after the HCOE is over. I also heard that the EPCOT wand will be replaced with a candle. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Never heard that rumor before. It seems highly unlikely. Sounds more like somebody's nightmare after seeing the 1996 era castle cake and transposing it to Epcot.
