Asking here since we have kitchens and tables. We'll be at BCV next month and gots ta thinkin, i never paid much attention to whether certain places have take-out containers. DW and I wouldn't mind hiking for a meal for others. I know the BW bakery, B&C, the BW pizza window, bakeries in France and Norway and the likes. But thinking more along the lines of a meal, and i do know i can order offsite delivery, but..........

What other place in the area have you had them box/bag a meal and brought back to your room? Ever gone into Epcot for it? Or on Disney property? :moped: :boat: :fish: :cool1:

There is a take out Chinese counter next to Nine Dragons in China in Epcot. However, I didn't really love my food from there. I am a big Chinese food fan so maybe I'm hard to please. :)

I wonder if ESPN does take out?

Good question and I'll be interested in the answers.

We had dinner at Rose & Crown one evening and couldn't finish it all. We asked for a to go box and they gaves one. I suppose you could order it to go!

I've had take-out from ESPN several times. It a tradition with my family.

we got sushi for takeout from Kimonos in the swan a few months ago, as well as the ESPN club.

I agree with DIVAMOMTO3 about the quality of China's counter service in Epcot, just not up to snuff.

But we do like the take out from Mexico and England. Both have the smaller window service take-out stands and offer good size portions for a reasonable price.

BTW do members get discounts at either of these?

We always do take out from ESPN. It is one of our favorites when we stay at BWV.

Thanks to all, yes that is what i was looking for. Glad to hear about ESPN, that's what i mean, i've eaten there but didn't pay attention or know if they did or not.

Hope they keep coming if you can. :wave2:

all WDW restuarants have take out.

they use to bring me a doggie bag (it is for my cat)

now they bring the box

That solves the problem of a jacket and tie for Victoria & Alberts. Not sure how they'll work the wine pairing. Probably like juice cartons or those little mini bar bottles. :earseek: "oh man turn around, they forgot the Foie Gras" ;)

We wanted sandwiches one night and got delicious BLTs from Tubby's Buffeteria at the Dolphin. Also got the DVC discount.

That'd be expensive for take out. I didn't see Beaches and Cream mentioned. All the BW restaurants will have TO but I doubt flying fish or similar restaurants elsewhere are reasonable to do so. I'd also vote for ESPN. Depending on how you like to travel, you might also consider the food courts at some of the nearby value resorts and CS market. There's also a BBQ grill so one could do a picnic if desired.

Thanks Dean, yes i was just kidding about V&A, at least i made myself laugh :teeth: also thinking about a chef signed take out menu. BC was hidden in my OP.

Money isn't an issue, i usually go at least mid level to signature restaurants. Here i was looking for anything as this was a logistics question. We will be there with my parents and i can forsee times where they will just be too worn out for a hike to dinner or cooking. I cancelled CG for Wishes last time because everyone was beat. Had a great dinner at FF though instead.

I just can't remember seeing anyone walking into any restaurant or phone ahead and picking up meals (other than the ones such as BC, Spoodles pizza window, and Bakeries.) I knew offsite is an option, but like i said just got curious. Also, some restaurants are funny, i read a few threads on that board about the restaurants in France refusing to seat people because they only wanted coffee and dessert even though it was almost empty. I could see the same thing happening for a few meals to go. Figured someone had done it without getting sworn at in another language. Thanks! :goodvibes

okay I am assuming - but I do take left over food to my baby -Spicey!!! he loves steak.

Anyway at every restuarant and I mean every restuarant that we have eaten at in WDW -they have those boxes - he gets the left overs. Since they have the boxes I am assuming you can get the take out.

I am never going to get a V&A I can't afford it.

I knew you were kidding as was I. You may want to call a couple of restaurants that seem to be at the top of your list to see how it's handled. You could also call CRO to see what they say. I too see a big difference between a doggie box and take out. For the places like ESPN and Rose and Crown, I don't see it as a problem but I'm having difficulty envisioning takeout from some of the places, even the non buffet options. Let us know what happens. One other option is that I think there's a take out taxi or similar which can do more upscale meals for delivery, maybe others know more about it than I do.
