EPCOT and EEH

Hello,

I was wondering if I can get some input from those who have done the Extra Evening Hours at EPCOT. I'm going in November and our last night (11/19) EPCOT will have EEH.

My rule is to avoid morning and evening hours which I have successfully done but we really want to do EPCOT and IllumiNations on 11/19 (I have it for 11/18 right now).

How bad are the crowds? We will leave after IllumiNations. I'm just worried that if we do it on 11/19 it will be very crowded because of the EEH.

I would love to hear from those who have done EEH at EPCOT in the past.

And any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Hi, Yes the EEH will draw more people to Epcot, also being a Fri night will probably have more locals present. The good news is not everyone will be in the WS to watch Illuminations, alot of people will be in FW and still arriving from MK. I think the week before Thanksgiving is still a very manageable week, crowd wise to be there. You'll be fine:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I'm just worried that it's going to be like wall to wall watching IllumiNations because of the EEH.

We went the same week last year but AK had the EEH and it was perfect! This year is all screwed up -- they are doing the F&W over our first weekend there (11/12) which is the last weekend for the F&W (so we are avoiding, once again, EPCOT on the weekend).

Hmmmm...ok....this gives me something to think about -- take the chance it won't be crazy and do EPCOT on our last night (which is our favorite thing to do).

Thanks for your input.

If anyone else reading the post has an opinion, I would greatly appreciate any input.

The more help I get, the better!! :rotfl:

We usually visit WDW in early to mid December, utilize EMH nights (we can't manage mornings--by the time our internal clocks adapt and we manage to go to bed before 3 a.m., it's time to go home again!) as much as possible.

Typically, there will be larger crowds at EPCOT due to EMH, but not everyone is there for Illuminations. The World Showcase Lagoon has a lot of viewing areas, I personally haven't experienced overcrowding. But I don't necessarily select the most popular viewing areas, either. I just try to stay upwind of the smoke! *LOL*

You'll see the biggest difference in exiting the park after Illuminations, when there are so many more people in FW trying to squeeze in the last few attractions of the night! :)

I don't think I'd worry about huge crowds in November unless it's a holiday. :)

Thanks for your input. It won't be during a Holiday. I'm talking about 11/19. Last year it worked fine because AK had the EEH, not EPCOT.

Ok, I might change it back to EPCOT on our last night. I was just worried that the crowds would be unmanageable with the EEH. As I said, I avoid the extra hours whenever possible.

Thanks for you help!!
