Epcot 1st night Rose and Crown or Nine Dragons

Which one? Or any suggestions? We have two boys 5 and 8. We are hoping to go to Soarin' and a few other spots and then over to World Showcase for dinner and see Illuminations. We ate at Biergarten last time.

If your kids like the stuff on the Rose and Crown menu I would go there. You could always get lucky and be seated outside for Illuminations. Nine Dragons is good, but it's just like every Chinese restaurant in every town. Rose and Crown is fairly unique, at least for the area I live in.

Rose and Crown is something you cannot experience everyday. I agree that nine dragons is just like any chinese restaruant you will find in any state.

And if you go right before fireworks, with a little luck and some pixie dust, you can watch IllumiNations during or right after you eat!!!! They have excellent viewing spots-prime turf. Those fireworks are a don't miss in my book. But the food is excellent and eclectic!

neither, san angel inn-mexico or le cellier- canada... but if you really want one of those id go with rose and crown.

Definitely Rose & Crown with a table on the patio. It has a GREAT view of illuminations!

We love Rose & Crown for dinner, but have never done Nine Dragons, so I can't compare.
Know, however, that a table on the patio at Rose & Crown for an Illuminations view, is a request when you check in at the podium. The chance that you will get that is, in my experience, less than 50%. Don't count on it.
If you are seated inside, they still have a viewing area they will direct you to.
We enjoy the food, atmosphere, and the warm helpful servers.
