Entry To Animal Kingdom Via Sherberth Road From 192 West

During our stay in Orlando we will be staying at the Lindfields estate off 192 west. Looking at a map it appears quicker to get to Animal Kingdom if we turn into Sherberth Road from the 192. Is it possible to get to Animal Kingdom this way? Is it quicker than going via world Drive?

Can't get there from here. The Animal Kingdom interchange is not a grand union (go anywhere from anywhere).

Sherbeth Road is, from Disney's point of view, the employee entrance.

Last I tried, if you go in Sherbeth, you would turn right at the next light which is Osceola Parkway east, then make a U turn at Buena Vista the next exit (get off, cross under, and back on westbound) and now you can enter the Animal Kingdom lot. You are not going out of your way as far as World Drive, however.

In addition for you, the left turn green from 192 onto Sherbeth is not that long. If you don't make it on the first green, you probalby won't beat someone who went straight on 192 and got to AK via the main gate, World Drive.

It's awkward considering that folks driving from Animal Kingdom Lodge to AK have to do the same U turn.

There is nothing wrong with going via Sherbeth road. When you get to the traffic light, you'll want to take a RIGHT. That's the beginnings of the Osceola Parkway. The road will merge with the AK parking lot exit, and when it does, you want to immedietly get into the far LEFT lane. There won't be a sign, but there will be a Left Exit that will allow you to go to the DAK Toll Plaza.

When you exit, stay to the far RIGHT... just before you go under the bridge, take a RIGHT. There might be a sign that says AK Lodge. When you make that right, you'll want to CAREFULLY get right over to the left most lane. (Be careful of merging buses!!) That will be the traffic light that takes you back to Sherbeth Road.

On my next WDW trip I'll be on the lookout for that U turn across the median on Osceola Parkway eastbound before the next interchange, Buena Vista. It'll make the trip to AK via Sherberth Rd. much quicker.

I don't know why it's not marked, but it's just as you pass the Toll Plaza. Easy to spot, if you know its there.

Be careful, as you'll need to cross high-speed oncoming traffic. That, and crazy tourists often will go the wrong way on the other side.

a quicker way from Lindfields estate would be to turn right onto 192 go out the far left lane go straigh at the first 2 traffic lights, at the next light (7-11 on the other side) tuen left this is blacklake rd. take it to the stop sign (end of road) and turn left onto sherbeth road this avoids all the traffic on 192 and the lights.
