Entry time for MVMCP?

I am attending MVMCP for the first time and just received my tickets from disney today. On the sheet it says the tickets are good for entry from 7pm-12am. I have read on this board as well as all ears that people can enter as early as 4 pm. Is this for certain? I would hate to drag my kids over to MK, park at TTC, make our way to MK only to be turned away with 3 hours to kill!
