Staying at Hard Rock Dec. 26-31. IOA opens at 8 a.m. What time should we be at the gate? Will they let on-site guests in earlier than 7 (since I've read they often let people in earlier than the regular opening time)?

Also, I know they are strict about purses on the roller coasters, but I really detest fanny packs and don't want to mess with lockers. Do they really not allow wristlets? What if you stick your wristlet in your waistband?

Thanks!

There's a good chance you would be let in earlier than 7am mainly because of the crowds. I think if you were in line by 6:30 or 6:45, you should be OK.

Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to have much luck with a wristlet mainly because they can fly off and injure someone. Here's the general rule of thumb: As long as your bag/fanny pack etc. does not impede the restraints, you should be allowed to ride. But if anything can become a flying missile, forget it. I think...as long as you stow the wristlet in your waistband before you get to the loading area, you should be OK...not promising though.

If they can't see your bag, they won't make you stow it. They will make you stow a wristlet if it is hanging from your wrist and they can see it. If you tuck it in your waistband and cover it will a shirt, they won't even know you have it and it should also be secure.

I detest fanny packs too, but unfortunately at Universal I am willing to forgo that fashion faux pas to avoid having to stow stuff .As long as they don't see it, you should be ok.But if there is even a question you have it on you they will stop you and make you stow it.Just make sure it doesn't have a chance of falling out accidently.besides the loss of all your valuables, you also run the risk of it injuring someone.
