Personally I think that the Affair of the Dragonfly Necklace is blown to dramatic theatrics. I think the other girl was a snot and the bouncer made a bad joke but your behavior wasn't exactly mature itself and made a snotty situation a little worse. Oh well, its really just a small thing.

As for the numerous times I have read the word "bully" in this thread. I don't see this as menacing,bullying behavior. I have said this before but when we use a word so many times it loses its meaning.

Again i know these people and she was not joking in the first place. I know her well enough to know that she keeps to herself most of the time and when she has a problem she will say something other than that she doesn't say anything to anyone. We are not friends and never have been. I didn't not take her serious in the beginning so yu might want to read again.

When she first said 'you suck' I thought she was talking about my out fit. that was when she said no your necklace and I said I dd got for me for my bday that was when she started to talk over me and I rolled my eyes and left. She did not see me roll my eyes as she was too busy looking at herself in the mirror.

It wasn't until the bouncer said something that I realized she and he was serious. So please don't assume something.

What am I assuming? You vented about it didn't you? You felt bullied?

I said if she was serious, she was a loon and then offered a different perspective.

Whether she was kidding or serious, I wouldn't have let it bug me for second. Obviously you did since you said something to the bouncer.

Holy moly! Dragonfly queen would get "dethroned" for even saying you suck to me, then running her trap about "rights" to only wear dragon flys.


I would come in with either dragonflys all over place as other pp's suggested or maybe to tick her off more have a tshirt made that says dragonflys and entitled little girls suck lol but that is just me.

Technically, they are only *trying* to bully. If they fail at it, then they aren't bullies.

The OP is an adult, and if you just read a little into that definition, she was not bullied. In reality, she acted the same way the co-workers did - poorly.

DON'T get me wrong, the OP DID NOT DESERVE TO BE treated the way she was. I think that the co-workers were wrong and acted childish. The OP should have walked away and not allowed them to "gain power" over her.
