Entering Epcot through International Gateway vs. main entrance

Looking for the best suggestions and opinions regarding Epcot's two entrances.

My family is planning on spending the afternoon of 11/29 at Disney Springs, and then heading over to Epcot at night from there.

We have our first fastpass scheduled at 6:55 for Frozen, and thus were considering entering through the International Gateway so that we can start our Epcot night in the WS and make our way down to FW instead of zig-zagging back and forth from the main entrance.

However, we have never used the IG entrance before and wanted to know if this idea seemed practical. The thought is that we can take a bus from Disney Springs to either the Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club and then walk over to the IG. Is any one resort in particular closest to the IG?

If the transportation time seems like too much of a hassle, we will instead use the main entrance and walk up to Norway and then come back into FW.

I think that sounds like a good idea. We stayed at the BC and walked through the IG plenty of times. It's a very short walk.

Since you're coming from Disney Springs, it's really the best way since there aren't any buses from Disney Springs to the parks. The Beach Club is the closest but shares a bus with the Yacht Club and sometimes the Boardwalk - I would get off where ever the bus stops first.

That's exactly what I'd do. Jump on either YC/BC, BWI or S/D, whichever comes along first, then walk to Epcot. It's a nice walk, and really pretty in the evenings.

Definitely sounds like a good plan, BC is the closest but any of the Epcot resorts would do. Have a great trip !

You have a great plan. Beach Club is the resort closest to the International Gateway. It is a short walk with pretty views. You might want to go to the Boardwalk instead. The walk is a bit further but views really are pretty. You can also take a launch from the Yatch/Beach Club to the International Gateway though walking is typically quicker.
