enough with the ROFR, PLEASE!

Could we all get together and consider rolling all the endless ROFR posts into one thread? It is becoming ever so tiresome to scroll through endless posts from people posting the same thing over and over and over again....

"How long does it take to pass ROFR"
"ROFR Keep your fingers crossed for me pleeeeeease..."
"ROFR - getting nervous!!!!!!!!"
I use the Disboards to keep up to date on my DVC ownership; stay current with park changes; and gather useful travel information.
Perhaps the ROFR could move to the rent/trade board for information or to one of the touchy feely "Just for Fun" forums for hand holding? Just my thoughts for the day...

I think that part of the charm of this board is that you don't always have to scroll through 82 pages of old info. The long threads often times fill up with personal stuff, alot of "bumps", etc. which make them tedious to read. I like to go to new posts on "old" subjects if they interest me. If I don't like the topic, I don't click it. Plus, new people come here every day and may not have hours to go over 82 pages but want a current answer. Also, I like reading when others are excited, nervous, or are just in need of us to reassure them.

I find the ROFR posts interesting, and I don't go to the rent/trade board, so for me they do keep me up to date with DVC goings on. Just my $.02!

I like the ROFR posts too! It's exciting to participate when the good news comes. It's also equally as nice to help others through the unnerving process. I, too, don't click on anything that I don't want to read. It's not an issue for me.

Here's an idea. If you see ROFR in the subject line...DON'T click on it. Problem solved.( It works much the same way as changing the channel on your TV when you do not enjoy what is being shown ).
ROFR pertains directly and only to a purchase and as such would have no place on the Rent/Trade board.

It seems like this idea should work, maybe the ROFR threads are just too hard to resist. I do find them to be interesting and imformative....

Think we're going to be seeing more, not less, about ROFR with Disney's new price/procedure structure. Someone just posted that Disney exercised ROFR on a $70 pp BWV listing. For any of us in the process of ROFR (including me & DH), this news makes waiting even more nerve-racking!
