Staying at POR and reserved the Bayou Pirate Adventure Cruise for DDs; goes from 9:30-11:30.

We have ADR in DTD at 1:30 at RFC.

Also planning on going to MNSSHP that night.

Is that too much? It's the only time we'll be going to DTD and I don't want to take the boat there just to eat and take it right back to the resort to get ready for the night.

Thanks!

A few things.

1. We've noticed that the Boat from POR to DTD doesn't run as frequently during the day as it does in the evening ( but still a better choice than the bus), so you may have to wait a bit but you should be able to make it to RFC in time.

2. How long does it usually take your family to eat? If you start at 1:30, will you be done by 2:30? 2:45? Then factor in the time it will take you to go back to the resort. Will you need to change clothes?

3. Make sure you know what time you are allowed in to MNSVHP. One year we bought tickets for MVMCP and the ticket said it started at 7pm but we were very disappointed to find out that we could have got in as early as 4pm. It would be a shame if you missed out on a few hours of park time.

I just mention the time thing because if you are allowed in the MK early for the party, you may not want to take the extra time to shop at DTD.

Sounds like you have a great day planned for your family!

We're pretty quick eaters, but I didn't want to be waiting after Pirates and rush them to DTD, then rush them back. We have little girls (7/4) and they do like to shop, maybe we'll just play it by ear and if we miss an hour or so of MNSSHP, at least they will have enjoyed the time in the shops.

Thanks for your input!

We try to plan for a long rest/nap the afternoon before one of the parties. Our youngest is now 7. We try to spend as long as we can at the party, at least to after the later parade and without a nap/rest, that does not happen. We do like RFC too and we enjoyed our time at DTD last trip so that is a tough one. While the gates almost always open at 4:00, the party starts at 7:00 so if you have plenty of other times at MK, you can get there later. If it was our family and our little one, we would do the boat activity and grab lunch at the resort and chill/nap for a couple hours before heading to MK between 4-5.
