Enough already!! Regarding posts about the moderators of these boards!

There's nothing to be lost over. You're not missing anything.

As a moderator elsewhere, I would say that yes at times, it is a thankless job, but it also has good rewards in having a responsible community. And I too add in thanking the moderators here for keeping the chaos down.

And my only comment on all the flap is this. There are guidelines, don't like following guidelines? Well, gee, nobody but you are moving your mouse. In this day and age everyone seems to feel that those guidelines don't apply to them. They are there for the courtesy of everyone.

Bashing the moderators over it is not productive in any way, shape, or form.

Thank you to all the mods!! You guys do an awesome job here... let's face it, it's a massive undertaking, keeping track of all that takes place, and IMO, the mods here are incredible at it.... I for one, am glad you and the guidelines that are set in place are here.

Thank you Cathy; I appreciate you startng this thread and offering the kind words and support for us CB mods and WMs that moderate this board. . and thank you too for those here that added to them. .

Moderating the CB can be a challenge since it's one of the busiest boards on the DIS, and Lord knows none of are above making errors in judgement at times. . . but we honestly do our best to be fair and try to make it a place where as many different types of personalities, humor, and opinions can be expressed in some kind of civil atmosphere. . .


A big thank you to my fellow Mods here: Cathy, Judi, Bet, Robin, Patrick, Glo, Kath and Alex. . .

And a big thank you to the posters who do make the CB the wonderful place that it is. . .despite occational misunderstandings and conflicts, I really do love you guys, and the less I have to feel like a moderator and the more I can feel like just one of the gang, the more I enjoy myself here. .

I too would like to thank the mods and WM for the job they do, and to thank the GREAT group of people who read these boards and show they care when others are not up to their best. You might not think a quick get well message, or a comment like sending PD you way, does anything, but, rest assure, it does wonders!!!

Recently, my DW received over 100 of your messages during her hospital stay, and each and everyone of them touched her heart in such a special way!!!

I am brand new to posting, however I've been lurking for awhile. I can only reiterate what alot of other posters have said. The moderators do the best that they can. And in my opinion do it very well. It seems to be a thankless job but they all stick with it and make the DIS a really wonderful place. So all you mods let me personally say THANK YOU!!!

I too love the DIS. This is the only place where you can get the support of total strangers unconditionally. When I had a problem here the mods took care of it. They are a great bunch of people. I would never take it on myself to be critical when I could not do as good a job myself. When I had my surgery I recieved calls and cards from this board at the hospital and at home. The mods were some of the ones I got them from. They care about all of us and are not afraid to show it. I will repeat myself. THEY ARE A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU for a difficult job well done Mods and WM's. You help keep this board what it is to all of us.
