I got one today too for my son's birthday in October. The dates are 10/1-10/31. We are already booked for 9/27-10/3.

I freaked just a bit thinking maybe we need to change dates but then I crunched my numbers. I'm getting a preferered at Pop for $65.48 a night right now. I work that up to be a 41% savings so technically, I've got a better rate. Also, whose to say that there are preferred rooms available for this rate.

This is my first pin and I am grateful that I got it. I was in the "I'll never get a pin" club!! Poor me.

I didn't try. I had gotten a 40% off pin code back in January by snail mail. So I had used it, but then about 2 weeks ago I got the free dining pin that covered my dates. I saved more by switching from the 40% off to the free dining. I think the only thing that could beat my free dining is 4/3 deal that was offered earlier in the year.

OMG, if you only knew how many pin codes I have gotten this year. I think I got one last year, but I think I'm up to about 4 this year plus pin codes for the cruises and offers for Disney Visa cardholders. I guess Disney wants more guests from Maryland.

Free Dining for my family, so we are going then.

My partner got one of these in her email this morning. We already had a trip planned for her birthday (8/21-8/24). I was able to switch the package we had for CSR to a room only Poly ressie(have always wanted to stay there) for 40% off rack rate . We have already wanted to stay at the Poly and this was perfect timing, as it fit in the budget and it's a special bday for my partner (she's turning 30).

Interestingly, I also got one in my email a little later in the day today. BUT it wasn't 40% off or anything. It was worded as if it was a "deal", but the "offer" they were giving was actually rack rate . My birthday happens to fall during the holiday season (12/18), so I'm not holding my breath for a great offer during that time (we already have a trip planned for my birthday as well). We're getting AP's this time, so perhaps there will be a nice AP rate that comes out for that time.

We just got back from the Poly in May. Hadnt been to WDW in 15 years and Never at the Poly it was fantastic we had MK room in tahiti on third floor and could see the castle, space mountain and contemporay all in a row in frount of us. It was fantastic well worth the $ at 40% off (thats the deal we had too) At night that part of the beach is basicly deserted so we watched the fireworks alone(with kids) in the hammoc while they played in the sand. It was like we had the Castle in our own private backyard. Cannot say enough about Tahiti and the view. You can see the TTC alittle but it wasnt a distraction for us and we enjoyed the boats going by and whistling as they approached ttc it was like beaing at the ocean. We especially loved watching the lights go out from our balcony around 1-2 am while the kids slept. If you can ask for MK room in tahit 3rd floor odd numbers in the teens have very good views. 2nd floor almost as good and the 1st floor you can walk right out to the grass but you do have the ducks to contend to. The TTC is a short walk so you can go anywhere in 10-15 min. That said it is not where the action is so you might want to be closer to the Ceremonial house. Can you tell I cant wait to go back? Wish I were you LOL Enjoy!

I got it this am too. My birthday is December 4th so it is good for December 1-24th! Too bad we are going in Feb. and I can't use it. I am just praying that there is a a deal for next year too!

It does state in the email that more than 2 adults in the room = more charges. My kids are too old to be kids, so I'm thinking it probably won't save me much from the teacher discount room Swan trip I've got planned for then, but you bet I will get on the horn and see what it comes out to be

Any excuse to talk to Disney is a good one for me

Yay!!! I'm so excited!! We've wanted to stay there forever. An MK room wasn't in the budget for this trip (but who knows... maybe we will get pixie dusted and upgraded since we are celebrating a bday), but I'm hoping to stay in an MK room one day soon.

The one I got for MY birthday (my bday is 12/18) said the same thing. No discount listed... just the rack rate for a value resort and no PIN at the bottom($135/night ). Unless a REAL deal comes out (AP rates, 40% off, etc), we'll be staying at the Dolphin for my bday.

Just got the 40% discount for DH's bday in October. We have already been this year, so we aren't/weren't planning on going again this year. But we do have valid AP's until the middle of Dec. so I may be looking into it. Even though his b-day is in Oct. we would rather go in Nov. does anyone think that this is possible, using the same pin for another month? Or is it specific to the month?
I'm not going to even ask you all on the DIS if I should go again, b/c I already know what you all would tell me!! LOL

For my June birthday, I was so excited to see an email from Disney Destinations because I had heard that people were getting PINs if they registered their birthday. It was just a reminder of the free admission on your birthday. There was no PIN and no discount. I'm still hoping that my daughter will get one for her July birthday but I'm not counting on it. Not that we're planning a trip anyway as we're already spending a lot on our Christmas trip, but I want it anyways. I just want to be able to say to myself that I got another PIN. Is that bad? I think I'm crazy. LOL
