Do the DLP cast members speak English? Like in America they speak English and if you need another language you have to find someone with the right flag on their nametag. Do they do that at DLP, they speak French and if we need English we have to find someone with the union jack on their nametag? We're leaving tonight to go this weekend and the thought just occured to me last night.

all the CMs speak English at DLP. They do also have the little flags on their uniforms though, showing which other languages they speak.

Have fun :)!

Most visitors will tell you: "yes, they will speak English, no problem."

I personally had quite mixed experiences.

It's normally fine for standard stuff like restaurant ordering or paying in a store. However, when it's about more complicated things - heaven forbid I have some dietary requirements - it gets a little more complicated. Normally you're able to work around that though.

Lately it happened to me more and more often that as soon as there was a problem suddenly no English speaking CM was available or in some cases a CM who had at least tried to work with me before suddenly "unlearned" English and out of the blue told me in French he didn't understand me.

But I realize for my negative experiences there's 3 other reviews that will be extremely positive, so hopefully you will be fine.

Also the flags on the uniforms keep getting more sparse (or maybe I didn't see them in the winter clothing). I haven't noticed any for ages and got accustomed to asking "Is English okay?"

All the CMs speak English, very well actually compaired to the level of English in other parts of France. They great you with both Hallo and Bonjour, so if you just say Hallo, they will speak English. I always try to speak France but if you just want to do everything in English, it's also fine...

I have only once met someone who didn't want to speak English. A couple of years ago a young man in a shop told me that everyone should speak French cause this was France... I laughed at him and said, No this is Disneyland!

I'm pretty sure he didn't stay in that job for long. ;-)

I've only ever had a problem with language once and that was trying to order a photocard in the POTC shop. I was asking if I could buy a frame as well as the card and the woman didn't have a clue what I was saying. After a couple of minutes she got someone else to help me.

In about 15 trips and encounters with hundreds of CM's, that is the only time I can remember having difficulties. Pretty good to be fair.
