English Food

just looked at the comments i have just made and realised I may have said a naughty word:eek:
Translated, I mean a large meatball covered in a nice skin of fat around it with herbs .
It's hard to describe a you know what:p
lin:wave:

ROFL Lin :teeth: ...... but I am afraid I'm not at all keen on the foods you've listed!!

I'd sooner have Queen of Puddings and Apple Crumble (homemade) than semolina (which I think is originally Italian) or tapioca ;)

The best place to go for a good roast dinner in london is to a carvery where the meat is carved in front of you and its like a hot buffet. I would recommend the Tower (thistle)hotel carvery, which is right on Tower bridge so it has a great outlook. You should be able to jump in a taxi to make it to the theatre afterwards easily. ::yes::

Black Pudding! Yum! (clotted pig's blood in intestine sausage!) (Lancashire one's are the best!.. don't fry it, steam it, whole, and have with salt or mustard!)

If you have time leave the 'smoke' and take a drive to sunny devon for the best cream tea in the world made with proper clotted cream, also while your here eat at the oggi oggi pasty company for every kind of flavour cornish pastie.
May i also suggest you try apple pie as we have traditionally made it for centries (way before New England swiped and changed the recipe) try it and without cinnamon you might be suprised.
Finally may i also suggest real stake and kidney pudding with ale gravy...mmm ....mmm ....mmm

OH and by the way next time you have salad make sure you have SALAD CREAM on it it really is lovely and try our seafood sauce too its nothing like that tangy tomato ketchup you put on prawns (shrimps) over here its a dish called prawn cocktail very 70s but making a comeback so jamie oliver says:wave:

OOOOOOOOh I feel sick:crazy:
I've eaten too much!!!:(
Mike, I forgot all about black pudding, Who the heck discovered that?
" MMmm I think I'll just fry up this bit of intestine yummy yummy".
How about chitlin??(sp?)
Come to Bath and have a bun!!!:teeth:
Lin xxxxxx:wave:
