My Df and I just got engaged on March 12th, and we'll be going to WDW for our engagement trip! :lovestruc

I was just wondering, are there any special things that we can do to celebrate our engagement there? It's going to be my Df's first trip to the world and I want to make it really special for him.

We were thinking of exchanging our engagement rings as we watch the fireworks display, probably Wishes at MK. Are there any less crowded areas that are just a little romantic with a decent view of the fireworks display? I'm open to suggestions of any other places for our little ring exchange.. I was toying with the idea of Cinderella's wishing well as well, although this will be in the day time.

We don't have ADRs [because I was silly enough to forget all about them while planning for the trip :scared:] so we won't be able to do any fancy meals unless it's a walk in.

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to get Disney-inspired couple rings anywhere in the world or around it? It'd be lovely if we could have Disney rings because it's our dream to have a Disney wedding, but if it isn't possible, we'll probably get a pair of rings before we embark on our trip.

One last little thing, how do we get those cute "Just Engaged" buttons?

Thanks so much in advance! :lovestruc

Hello

Deffintly get the just engaged buttons. If you read peoples TR's of their experience of wearing their buttons they received some awsome experience malibustacey received a ice cream sundae and tiggersam was grand marshal with her fiancee in the MK parade so they are a must

I dont know about in the park some where quieter to watch the fireworks but how about watching wishes from the beaches of grand floridian or illuminations at the broadwalk

sorry havent got any great ideas but hopefully some one else will be along soon with some huge ones they all have great ideas on here

and CONGRATULATIONS on the engagement :)

Thanks so much for the well wishes and the suggestions, hon! :flower3: wow your wedding's planned for 2011? that's so exciting! :lovestruc My Dfi and I are currently hatching plans to have ours in early 2012.

We'll definitely look into getting those cute buttons, they'll be lovely souvenirs from our engagement trip!

Yeah we had some one send them to us and we have them on our wall with our engagement photos :)

its so much fun planning and these boards are the most helpful ever

1st of all congrats! I just got back a few weeks ago from an awesome E-trip to WDW, we had so much fun, so I am positive you will have a blast as well:goodvibes

You can pick up the buttons for free at Guest Relations at any park, so def make that your 1st stop:goodvibes

In terms of rings you coul check out the World of Disney store in DTD, if they don't have it there I am not sure then it probably doesn't exist lol, that store has everything! The beach at the Poly or GF is great to watch wishes from, very romantic! Also the wishing well is gorgeous! I got engagaed there, you can check out the details in my PJ if you are interested. (The link is in my siggie)

Now if you want a nice meal without an ADR try Wolfgang Puck Express right near the WOD store in DTD, great food, you order inside then you get to find a seat and they bring your food out to you. We always love that meal, get a nice glass (or bottle) of wine sit outside and relax. Very nice way to spend the day:goodvibes. And I bet you could call now and still get a few ADR's for your trip if you really wanted, they have cancellations all the time and who knows maybe you will luck out :)

Good luck on your trip and have fun!

First of all, congrats on YOUR engagement! :) I'm checking out your PJ now and it's such a magical read. I LOVE your gown, and WOW you guys got to be grand marshals, how cool is THAT!

I love your engagement photos, how much did you pay to have them? I don't think we'll be having anything of the sort this trip since it'd be a little too late to arrange for anything [I think], but I'll definitely be wanting something like that when I have my Disney wedding in 2012. :bride::rotfl:

I'm going to try and get ADRs *crosses fingers* but we'll definitely pop by Wolfgang Puck when we make a trip to DTD this trip. I don't have much faith that we'll be able to find a nice pair of couple rings there, so we'll get a pair before we fly.

Thanks so much for replying, hon! :dance3:

Congratulations!!! I think you should def be able to find some rings at WDW. If you didn't see anything there you could always run to the outlets by DTD, they would probably be cheaper there then buying them at home.

Its not fancy at all, but one of my favorite restaurants is Earl of Sandwich in DTD. They have the best cupcakes ever, and the line usually moves pretty quickly.

Def get the buttons from guest services. Even if you can't get a pro photographer to do an E-session, you can always have a photopass photographer take your picture and get the just engaged border to go around it.

If DF has never been to WDW before I would watch the MK fireworks from inside the park - just for the experience. I would say its hard to get a good spot that isn't crowded. Sometimes the train station is less crowded and a little quieter up above everyone. Sometimes its packed.

Have a great trip!
