Hi Has anyone heard of or has done an in park engagement shoot with a non Disney photographer during park hours. Is this even allowed? Meaning during park hours you hire someone to come into the park and follow you around taking picture. Thank for the help!

At WDW you cannot bring an outside photographer to take pictures outside the park and all the photographers in the area are very familiar with the rules. You can take great pictures all around Disney property though, no problem!:thumbsup2

This policy has changed some in the past year. Outside photographers are now allowed for weddings in the park, but I'm not as clear about portrait shoots during park hours. It can be a very touchy subject, and the photographers will know what they're allowed to do and what they can't do since nobody will want to draw Disney's ire and lose shooting privileges.

This is correct and I know Regina for one, will not do any type of engagement, anny, or family shoot in the parks. It seems it's still a bit of a grey area actually and she does not want to jeopardize being able to photograph Disney weddings or weddng events in parks (ie. dessert parties) as they are now able to do so again.

I know Randy Chapman has photographed engagement sessions in Epcot since the outside photographer ban was lifted, but I do believe many photographers have a similar stance as Regina, like the previous poster said. (We're using the Roots, who have the same stance on in-park sessions.) Disney can revoke the right to allow any specific photographer to shoot in the parks, so I think in general most outside photogs want to stick to wedding-specific in park events so as not to upset their relationship with Disney.

Definitely contact Randy Chapman if you like his style though!

I've seen many in-park sessions on Pinterest from outside photographers.. I'd search there.
