Do you wear your engagement ring on your wedding day? Or do you wait and put them both on at the ceremony if its a set?

I was planning to have DF place it on my hand after the wedding ring...maybe??? LOL! :confused3

I have been wondering this as well and since time is ticking for me i made my decision to wear the e-ring on the right hand. After the ceremony i will switch it to the left over my band.

Mine is a set with a diamond wedding band that wraps around the solitaire on the engagement band. I wear the wedding band below the engagement band. On the day of the wedding, I wore my engagement band on my left hand. When it came time to put on the wedding band, DH put it on top of my engagement band (upside down from how I wear it today). After the ceremony I turned it the right way. I didn't feel like wearing it on the right hand and trying to switch them during the ceremony, and I certainly didn't trust the best man to hang onto it!

My sister was my MOH - I gave my e-ring to her right before and she put it on her hand and wore it for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we took pictures with everyone, so she just gave it back to me right then and I slipped it on. Worked perfect- no muss, no fuss.

I am keeping it pretty simple. When we bought my wedding ring we made the decision that my e-ring would be worn on my right hand. I thought I would just put it on my right hand at the beginning of the day, that way I don't have to worry about a switch. I am anxious to start wearing my wedding ring though!

We had to have my wedding band created as they had quit selling the matching band when we went back to buy it. (DH was a poor college student when he bought my engagement ring). My wedding ring sort of wraps around my engagement ring, so on the big day I gave him my diamond and he put the whole thing on my hand during the ceremony.

Its "proper" to only wear your wedding band during the ceremony (no e-ring), but in modern times I think its completely up to the bride. I like the ideo of having my MOH wear it then giving it to me before the pics...she always likes looking at it anyways! lol

The plan for my sister's wedding day was that our youngest sister (and other MOH) would wear her e-ring until after the ceremony. It wasn't until she walked up to the altar that I noticed she still had it on her ring finger. And I honestly don't remember exactly how it happened--although it seemed so important at that moment--I told her I think while she was handing me her bouquet to give me her e-ring. And then I can't remember if I just put in on my hand or if I actually gave it to Katie (younger sister.) But we gave it back to her after the ceremony in time for pics. But even if you have a plan and it doesn't go off quite the way you wanted it won't be a disaster, especially if your best friend/older sister/MOH who was freaking out about it (probably b/c everything else was going so smoothly and great) can't even remember a year later what exactly happened :)
Sorry for the long winded answer.:rolleyes1

I'm having my wedding band & engagement ring soldered prior to the wedding. Our parents will be in charge of our wedding rings on the big day. DF's parents will have mine & my parents will have DF's. We liked the idea of our families involved in that part of the wedding.
