Engagement Photo Advice?

Hello! My fiance and I are tinkering with the idea of having a small wedding at Disney! We are staying at the GF in June and I would love to know if anyone has advice on getting engagement photos done on property? Thank you!

If you're planning on getting married at Disney, I'd use whomever you want to shoot your wedding for your engagement photos. We did our engagement photos with our wedding photographers, the Roots, and beforehand I had my hair and makeup done by the person I was planning to use for the wedding. It was a great opportunity to see what my hair and makeup would look like in photos and then make tweaks before the big day.

Engagement sessions are often included as part of photographers' wedding packages. If you're planning on using Disney's photographers for your wedding, you might want to look through their portfolios and request one. Although Disney can't guarantee you'll get that person (for the engagement shoot or for the wedding), at least you could try.

People have posted many threads containing the work of Disney and outside photographers in this forum, so if you search for photographer recommendations, you'll turn up a lot of ideas.

Oh thank you so much!! Who did you use for your hair? I was actually thinking of getting my hair done while I am down in June. That would be very important for me as I would hate using somebody on my actual wedding day!

I used Patricia LeJeune for the engagement shoot and wedding, and for about 6 events and anniversaries since. I love her style!

We've just had an engagement shoot this last Wednesday, at Port Orleans Riverside. Got hair and makeup done by Patricia LeJeune's team at their Winter Gardens salon, and the photography by Misty Miotto. We're planning on using both for our wedding next summer, so it was a great opportunity to meet them and work with them. Misty is a little more on the expensive side than other Orlando photographers, but we love her style, and she won't throw out good photos just to get the numbers down. Having met her, we're 100% happy with our choice! The engagement shoot was around $500, and the hair and makeup was $155 (included makeup for DF too)
