New to the boards and just joined after my Jack finlly proposed!

Well, he didn't propose. Not to me. He actually asked my dad for my hand. My family's Cuban, traditional doesn't even cover it, so the fact that we're living together without a ring regardless of age is pretty progressive for them. My moving away without a wedding would probably get Jack shot.

Judging from the fact that my father nearly squeezed him to death after welcoming him to the family, I'd have to say the language barrier has at least been crossed!!

2 1/2 years sounds too far away to plan a wedding. I'll probably be laughed at silly on these boards. Just want to look around b/c, considering he has a job but we're still in college, 2 1/2 years probably is still cutting it close to save up.

Still in shock...damn...but so happy!!!
