i'm watching that show on MTV right now.

if you don't know what it's about it's documenting young people who are engaged (young meaning like 18-21 ish) to their wedding day.

what do you guys think of that show?
what do you think of young engagements?
for them? against them? no opinion?

how would your parents react to you getting engaged at a young age?

what do you guys think of that show? Hmm.. I like the show but at times its a little over the top.
what do you think of young engagements? I think that if your in true love then young marriage is the way to go.

If youre in love, if you want to get married, yadda yadda yadda, go right ahead. Who am I to say no?

what do you guys think of that show? It's one of my favorite MTV shows.
what do you think of young engagements? I don't see what's so wrong with them. I'll probably end up getting engaged before the age of 21, too.
for them? against them? no opinion? If you're in love, I'm all for it. I hate people who get engaged IN high school though. It's ridiculous. At least wait until after you graduate.

My best friend is engaged and she is 18. Her fiancee is 21. They have been together for a very long time now and are deeply in love. They found an apartment and a fairly decent one at that for two people who are going to be just starting off! They planned the marriage for two years from now.

Her family supports her and his family supports him. I support them. Who am I to sit there and say, "You shouldn't be doing this! It will ruin your life!" when I actually believe it is great for her. Her dating experience throughout high school has been constant with the break-ups and then the meeting new people. She has dated enough people, I can honestly say rofl, to know that she has found the one for her.

The age really depends on each person. No two people are alike and while some people need more time before deciding on marriage, others are ready earlier. Maturity and having responsibilty comes at different ages for different people. I am 18 and not near ready to be engaged or married. It really all depends on the people. If you are young but able to support a marriage financially, have the support, truly love the person you are with, and know what you are getting into, then why not?

Yeah people who ar eengaged IN high school, that's a little much.

Yeah I personally don't have a problem with it, I can see myself being engaged early, especially if things keep going as they are with Derek

I don't know how my parents would feel about it, I tell my mom alot of stuff, like how I feel about him and all that jazz, and she knows how much I love him, and she really loves him too, so I think they'd be supporitve.

HIS parents on the other hand, would probably disown him.
His mom tried to baby him still and she's really controlling.
She makes us spend at least 2 nights a week at his house so that we aren't always at my house, or out. She really likes to keep a close eye on him.
And I think if he sprung an engagement on her...she would probably have a cow.

I don't think I would be ready though to get engaged earlier than like 20, because I am really not that independant, my parents still do alot for me.
I don't know how to cook, I'm kinda lazy, I don't know how to do taxes or balance a checkbook. There are lots of thing I need to elarn about before I get engaged.

I'm thinking 22 or 23 sounds good to me.

In other words, anytime I've been watching MTV Canada, I haven't see it, or commercials for it.
