Hi Ladies!

My boyfriend proposed to me last weekend while we were up in a hot air balloon, it was the most perfect day ever!

He really out-did himself....paid for the hot air balloon ride, paid for the ring of course, had champagne and bridal magazines waiting for me at my house when we got home, and he even had a beautiful boquet of flowers sent to my work the next day.

Sooo, I'd really like to do something special for him but not go overboard and spend too much money (afterall now we have a wedding to save for). We'll be in Disney August 18-25 and I wanted to surprise him with something, but I just don't know what! I looked at the Disney florist website, but I don't want to send him flowers or spend $50 on balloons or chocolates.

We already have the "Behind the Seeds" and the "Magic of Steam Trains" tours booked, which he really wanted to do so I don't want to surprise him with another tour. I thought having something sent to the room would be nice (but I'm always up for other suggestions) however I just can't figure out what to send and we only have 10 days until we arrive.

Please help!!! Thank you in advance for your suggestions...!!

Erica

What are you planning to spend?

Would he be interested in an Engagement photography session?

What about looking into a Wishes or Illuminations cruise?

Would he like a couples spa massage or something like that?

What about some books like the "Hidden Mickey" guide or a guide book to "secrets" about WDW that you can take along with you as you are exploring and see what you can find?

Maybe plan a romantic private dining experience at the Grand Floridian?

Erica,

first off, congrats!! :cheer2: what about lunch with an imagineer? or renting a pontoon? massages are nice if he is into those...you could also try to get tickets to Cirque in DTD - what a fabulous show!!

he sounds like a sweetheart and I'm sure he will love whatever it is you choose! have a great trip

Congrats on your engagement! It sounds like he planned the perfect day!

I would suggest trying to arrange a private dining dinner. Perhaps at the Grand Floridian. If you time it right, I believe you can see wishes from some of the locations there. You can also do private dining during Illuminations.

My suggestion is something that would really peak his interest, that he can't do normally.

Also, CONGRATULATIONS! Sounds like a wonderful story and how thoughtful is he! I'll be down in Orlando that same time you are and I am trying to have the DF come down as well. Have a great trip!

I would just like to say that I hate you! j/k

I was supposed to get the hot air balloon proposal but the weather didn't co-operate that day and it didn't happen as he had planned. We have rebooked 5 times before we finally gave up trying to get our balloon ride out of that company. I guess I am still bitter about it because reading your proposal makes me totally jealous.

Congratulations and have fun planning your wedding! My husband got his projector and big screen as his wedding gift and I just got a bulldog puppy for mine. They are gifts each of us wanted, but things we enjoy together. (although I think he gets more enjoyment out of the puppy then I get out of the big screen)

congrats what a nice proposal.

This is very boring but I bought my DF cufflinks, my thinking was we get jewellery something we can keep so I thought it would be nice if he could have something to keep and wear on the wedding day. (the were brushed silver with three little diamonds along one side.

why not see if you can get some nice disney ones, get them wrapped and then delivered to your room.

Mind you my DF likes that kind of thing he wears fancy shirts for work do's quite often so he really liked them, if your DF is not into that kind of thing it might not be good.

Congrats! How about just having a nice romantic dinner out. Do it as a surprise. I really like the idea of the photosession!
