Enfamil Nutramigen Baby Formula

Does anyone have any tips for saving on Enfamil Nutramigen Hypo Allergenic forumla? I have signed up at the enfamil website, but it seems like they send you coupons when the baby is first born, then they stop. This stuff is so expensive and my son is unable to take the regular milk-based or even the soy based formula. Wondering if anyone has found other ways to save on this.

Ask MIL, SIL, coworkers, neighbors, etc to sign up too. One of my friends signed me up when I had my hysterectomy as a joke. I just stopped getting the coupons!

When my younger DD was on special formula we had everyone we know sign up and also asked our Dr. for some extra samples. I also bought a few cases on Ebay of stuff that was close to expiration. She was going through it so fast that it never went bad.

Ask your ped for samples. Sign up everyone you can for the formula checks- parents, siblings, friends. The name on the check does not matter, so they can just then give them to you.

My friend actually has a prescription for her twins' formula. They can't tolerate milk based or soy either and are on Similac Alimentum. Is that similar to the Nutrimagen?
She gets a certain number of cans of it per month thru her insurance company (via perscription by the pediatrician) for free!
Maybe something to look into? She saves a TON of $$$

OP, just so you know....which I didn't when my daughter needed Nutramigen, some insurance companies will cover the cost of it because its considered I guess a prescription of sorts. My friends baby needed it and it was covered completely by their insurance. Check it out.

We got a prescription and our insurance covered it because my son was allergic to other formula's we tried.
