The Cast...
DH-Closet Disney Freak...blames all our trips on me when he's just as bad
DSs- 9 (Cam) and 6 (Colt)-WDW & DL vets, not very adventurous and can be difficult at times
DM(Mother)- The one I got the "Disney gene" from She loves to come along on our trips since we can't get DF(Father) to go anymore, and she is a great help with the kids
DN(neice) 13- This was her 4th trip and we were so happy so could come along with us this time. Shes more daring than DS, but still a bit cautious.
And me....well, lets just say I love all things Disney and during this trip Cam referred to me as "Freaky Disney Person". :rolleyes1

Tuesday-8/29
Today we started out with Breakfast at Chef Mickeys. We decided to drive there since we had a car and knew we could get a bit more sleep if drove instead of took a bus.

Our ADR was for 8:00 and we arrived about 7:45. I like to do Chef Mickeys on our MGM day because I feel we don’t need to get there right at opening, like I do for the other parks. Breakfast ran a little later than I had hoped and by the time we were arriving at MGM it was close to 10:00…ok,I didn’t want to be that late. ;)

We started out toward Star Tours (DSs are on a Star Wars kick lately, thanks to the Game Cube game), while DH bolted ahead to get FPs for the first showing of Lights Motor Action. Once he met up with us he informed us they no longer have FPs for LMA. Ok, I missed that memo. He was offered Wiggles tickets while in the area, but declined them.

Me, DH, and DSs rode Star Tours, then we headed across the park. We got FPs for Rock N Roller Coaster which were for 11:15. There was no wait at TOT so we went on that. We all went in and saw the movie, but only DH & I rode it. That was over in no time then went to RNR. DM had taken the kids to a store (they know how to play her, huh?)

So it was about 11:00 and we tried to see if we could get in for our FPs early. The CM told us to go have a seat and come back in 15 minutes. Now mind you the wait said 30 minutes so waiting 15 minutes for our FPs was the better option…you would think. It was about 11:10 and I saw another couple go to the FP line and the CM put up the rope and said there are no FPs, go in the stand by line, theres no wait. So, DH & I had been standing there for 10 minutes for nothing. ARGH!!!! We then got in the regular line and were in our limo in minutes. :car:

Next it was on to the 11:50 show of LMA. We made it right about 11:45. I have to agree with what everyone says…this theater is hot. This was probably the hottest day we had all week, so it was very noticeable here. But it was all of our first time seeing this and we were very impressed. It really is a neat show.

Next to cool off, we went to One Man’s Dreams. Cam used to call this “the boring ride”, but he has lately gotten interested in history, so he now wanted to do this. We looked around for about 20 minutes before the show started. It was nice and cool, so we were happy. ;)

We now took a little break to have some ice creams from a cart.

Next it was on to the Great Movie Ride. This is always a cute little show (and cool and has seats :thumbsup2 ). This was probably one of the longest lines we waited in all week. I’d say we waited about 15-20 minutes.

After this we went to the Magic of Disney Animation. This was new to DM & DN and the rest of us had only been there once a few years ago, so it was sort of fresh to us too. Mushu’s little presentation is really cute.

While waiting to go into this I relooked at the times guide and realized I had misread it before. I had told the kids Indiana Jones was at 4:00, but it wasn’t until 6:00 (it was 4:00 other days). The kids weren't happy.

We debated what we wanted to do next and we figured a break for an early dinner was in order now so we went to Pizza Planet.

After dinner it was almost 5:00 and we were all too hot and tired to hang around for another hour just for the show that we have seen a zillion times and have on tape. Plus I gave DSs the option of pool time, or Indiana Jones and they went with the pool.

Here we did a little experiement. Since we had the car (and it really only fit 5 but we squished earlier), the boys all drove and the girls all took the bus. I wanted to see which would be quicker. While the boys did end up in the room before us I’m sure they sprinted across the parking lot, just to win. We were literally driving next to them right before pulling into PC. So my findings were the buses and driving took the same amount of time on this day. ;)

Once were were ready to head to he pool it started raining, thundering and lighting. The pool then closed. Since we were right behind the laundry building I went and got some laundry going while we waited it out a while. We were watching the news vigilantly about now to see what was going to happen tomorrow with Ernesto. It wasnt looking good. :bitelip:

Shortly the pool had reopend and we went and hung out there for a while. DH and I went to he main pool to grab drinks to bring back and actually stayed there for a while. Since they had to call a manager to get our DDE discount added in the bill we figured we would have 1 drink there while we waited, and then take one to go. The 2 bartenders here were a lot of fun. We had a good time watching them flick coasters and bottle caps around. And when I tried picking one up from the ground I almost got attacked by a crazy squirrel who hangs out there. :teeth:

DM & DN later went to DTD for some shopping, but we stayed behind and had an early night…well it ended up being 10:00 by the time the kids calmed down and got to bed, but it was earlier than the last 2 nights.

I love crazy squirrels .........we had one want to climb my leg at mgm one year.....made me sit up on the bench with my legs up......thanks for taking the time to post your report and look forward to more

LOL! This one is named Charlie (according to the bartenders) and he is a mean little guy. I really thought he was going to pounce on me for picking up the bottlecap. He knows how to stare you down, LOL!

So for anyone visiting PC soon, beware of Charlie. :bitelip:

omg Katie--I can't believe how big the boys are getting. (You'd think it would not be shocking, since my DS is right around Cam's age..... :rotfl: ).

Great reports. Keep em coming!!!
