End scene in “Jungle Cruise”. (Caution: spoiler alert)

I just downloaded it, turned off my WiFi and it played. You do get a warning you’re offline but it plays.

What devices are you using? Are you by chance trying to watch Disney+ through Apple TV+? My DH can never get that to work.

We tried it on two different iPads. Maybe I'll see if I have the same issue later today. So weird.

Haven't been to a movie since Feb 2020. It's just DH and me, so the $30 price point is a bit high for us to pay to stream a movie. If it was the whole family, it would be different, so we'll wait until November. Looking forward to it -- looks like a fun movie.

I knew this issue sounded familiar. We discussed ti a while back in the movies forum, but I don't think we ever came to a conclusion:

I remember that thread and it’s an issue my DH had with (formerly) iTunes which is why I was wondering if maybe she was watching D+ through ATV+ because that’s a known bug Apple doesn’t seem to care anything about. The stand alone D+ app (and all others- VUDU, Movies Anywhere etc.) have worked fine for myself and the kids on iPads on planes without any work around.

Maybe delete the app, reboot and re install and make sure everything is updated.

I really enjoyed it. It won't win any awards, but it was a fun family night and we all enjoyed it.

I do think studios are going to have to get used to making movies for less. Or making fewer (hopefully better) movies. I'm no longer willing to spend ~$40 on tickets, another ~$40+ on popcorn/drinks, and deal with rude people talking/texting/etc. and uncomfortable theatre. I might go to the theatre to see something I'm really excited about or that demands a big screen (like the second Avatar)... but for most movies? No thanks.
