DH and I are planning to visit WDW the last week of October this year. I know the weather in October can still be quite hot, so was wondering just how hot it might be then; and if the humidity is still around. I'd actually prefer going in November, but we're not keen on seeing all the Xmas decorations. Thanks!

We went at the end of the first full week of Nov. this past year and only MK and DHS had up some Christmas stuff. DHS's tree was up, but MK's tree wasn't up. I would say that the very beginning of Nov. would be a safe time to go if you weren't interested in seeing the Christmas decorations. The weather was lovely!

My Birthday is October 21st and I usually leave for Florida on my bday and the weather is usually really nice. Typically, its 80's and pool weather but the nights are perfect. Switching it up this year and trying for mid September and we are gonna MELT!

We are used to the heat and humidity living in GA. We went to Disney the last week of Oct two years ago and yes, it was hot and humid. The evenings are nice and I can be cold natured so I packed a pair of jeans for evenings. Also, a lightweight a jacket or sweatshirt just in case. But daytime we were all in shorts.

It can be. Two Octobers ago it was. One time it was freezing cold, just depends on the year and there is no way to know until a week or so prior.

We have found the weather can be changeable. Hot during the day but really can be cold at night. With the AC on in most places it can give you a good chill. I take a light wrap to wear at night.

As PPs have said, it can vary. We left the first week of October once and it was still high 80s/low 90s, humid, etc.

The full array of Christmas decorations will not be up until the week of Thanksgiving. I believe rule of thumb is that they are all up by the Saturday following Thanksgiving. So you could go the first or second week of November and maybe get away with only seeing a couple decorations - if any. But I would think there wouldn't be any up that early. If you do go with early November, avoid Veterans Day weekend to avoid any chance at a crowd.

Hot is possible. Humid - like it is in the summer - unlikely. That horrid humidity usually breaks sometime in October.

Cold is also possible.

We have been a couple of times at the end of October and its a favorite time to go. The weather has been great. The first time it would rain off and on for most of the days. The rain would just come on and end all within 5 or 10 minutes. We just kept the ponchos handy and it was fine. The last two years has been great. We would even swim at night. To us, it is the best time to go weather and crowd wise. Enjoy :goodvibes

I went 6 years ago from the last week of October to the 1st week of November and it was very, very hot. We stayed in a tent at the Fort and I was surprised how hot it was.

October 15 is the date I consider the beginning of the nicer, drier, cooler time of the year.I say that because that's usually the time you might start to see cold fronts come through and cool the weather down some as well as lower humidity and rain chance. However just because this is true doesn't mean that's what you're going to get,you could go on a day at the end of October and could get a day with a high temperature of 75 or 95,so you just don't know, but at least the possibility of cooler weather is there, something a month earlier you won't see.But like I said even if it is hot the humidity will probably be a bit less as well as less chance of those daily rains, although they can still happen.

The last trip over Halloween we took, it was hot....humidity wasnt that bad, but a bit humid.....

It can go either way that time of year! I have been in October when it was very nice temps, and a few times when it has been hot and humid, so that time of year there is no guarantees on what you are going to get.

Thanks to everyone for your help; it was much appreciated! Thinking now we might just go the first week of November instead. Not that there would be THAT much difference in the temps, but our anniversary (25th) is that week. Decisions, decisions ... ;)

I think DOOM is spot on here with this, and I'll just add that this year would be one to watch a little closer. We had a very mild winter (like much of the country) which has shaped us up for a long warm season that could very well carry us into October. I would not at all be surprised if we're still seeing mid-upper 80's during that time.

BTW, DOOM, I love the "Appliance Direct" icon!!!

Aside from the weather, the last week of Oct going into Nov has Halloween parties scheduled. MK won't be open in the evening for guests unless they purchased a ticket for the party. 10/28, 30, 31 and 11/2 are all party nights, so if evenings at MK are important that's something to consider.

Odds are the days will be warm with lower humidity than Sept. Should be pretty nice compared to the evil summer temps!

DH and I were at WDW in mid-November years ago, and the weather was sublime - around 75 degrees every day; just perfect. We visited again in the latter part of November and had wonderful weather again. I always said after that, that November was the perfect month (temperature-wise) for me to visit. But now it's full of holiday decorations and music everywhere, which is fine for those who want that, but we've seen it 3x already, and just want to experience the theme parks in their normal state. And from everything I've read, it seems those Xmas decorations go up earlier and earlier every November. Shoot!

We were there, too. October 25- November 1, 2006. It was cool in the morning where you would need to wear a sweatshirt and pants/jeans and then warm up. For me, it wasn't that hot. Yes, it was still in the 80's, but the humidity of the summer months was not there. I did wear shorts during the day, but brought a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt with me to the parks for when it got cooler.

After doing the summer three times when I was younger, I prefer October. Not too cold and not extremely and unbareably hot. Plus there is MNSSHP :thumbsup2

We were there last October (22nd-29th) and thought the weather was perfect. Low 80's during the day & it didn't feel humid to us at all. Evenings were a bit cooler but still very nice. We would definitely go that time of year again!
