We are currently booked Oct 21-27 and I am wondering if this is a good time to go or should I book Nov 4-10? My family likes low crowds and so some things I am hearing about Oct scares me. So any input would be great.
Thanks!!

We always try to go the 1st week of Nov. If you're there on Election Day it's especially low crowds.

Veteran's Day will be more crowded but not terrible. We've been several times the 1st part of Nov and the weather was great, all the rides (except IASW, BFHD) were open, the Christmas decorations are up and the crowds are low.

Hope that helps.

I would go in October, for the longer hours, more entertaiment and chance to go to a Mickey's Halloween Party.

While the November dates will have low crowds except for the weekend days you give up the things above.

In October crowds are not bad. The problems is people focus on the negative. Weekends are always busy, and I think some people forget this. On party days crowds are not bad until late afternoon when they slowly rise in the afternoon and get bad from 5-6 or to 7 when the party crowd really shows up. Those party days are about 5 hours with low crowds, 2 hours with medium crowds and 2 hours with bad crowds, overall that is lower than medium. Plus the parties have crowded area and people remember that, even though it has nothing to do with the rest of the day or party overall. People complain about Utah Days adding huge crowds when it's not true at all. A state the is two states away can add more crowds than when locals have a day off? Local that are several time bigger in volume and live within a couple hours?

So the thing to remember is October has 10 bad days that are on the weekends, just like any other month. About 10 medium days because of special crowd issues. And 10 low crowd days. Overall a medium crowd month when you consider the whole thing in general.

We went this past Oct 23-28 and loved it. We did not notice big crowds - but we did not go on a weekend. Went to the party on a Tuesday and had a BLAST! IASW was closed for the holiday changeover but that was fine with us ;)
