End of march advice, please help!

Hi all! I was hoping to get some expert advice from you guys. I've never done just a day trip to Disney but we will be in Florida the last week of March and wanted to bring our daughter for a day trip. We have been dozens of times so we know what we want to do in that day and what we don't.

I'm more curious to find out how the crowds and weather are. We will be in Florida March 28th-April 1st, I'm thinking of doing Monday March 31st as the day we go. I am planning breakfast and the morning at Hollywood studios and then early afternoon and night at Magic kingdom.

What should I expect crowd wise, it's a Monday.. And any advice on weather?? Any tips help. I would rather not waste the money if it's truly not worth it. We typically go in October, it's very hot then but low crowds.

I would go to easywdw for a touring plan. It a crowd level 7 expected that day due to Spring Breakers, however I know for the East Coast Spring Break is late this year as Easter is late. Epcot is the recommended park, however I would do this try to get a few things in the morning at HS at rope drop then if you go to MK I would use the FP plus kiosk or go at dinner time to get on attractions. It's doable but it may be crowded then usual. easywdw has good advice. I go in August on 7 crowd days and if you have a strategy it's manageable. Or if you really want MK I would do RD in the morning there and the evening. And maybe hop to HS or Epcot. I am not making sense but I would look at easywdw, you will have fun no matter what!

I don't really understand FP+ yet.. Can guests that aren't staying on site actually use that?

I wouldn't go Monday, 31st instead go Friday, 28th. That looks to be the better day to go according to easywdw. If you can switch your plans around a bit.

You can use FP+ for offsite guests, at the moment it is day of. You go to a kiosk and schedule it in park. You can only use the fast pass plus in one park and limited to 3 at the moment.


We are also going at the same time. We will be there from 3/27-4/5

Thanks! I just checked it out and the Friday does look much better, so we will try that instead. It looks like it's ranked at an overall high day though for all parks?? so with our family being avid October Disney visitors.. Will we be in so to say "shock" lol. It's a 2 hour drive from where we will be in Florida so it's a lot to consider for us, just looking for some advice from the March go-ers....

Also does anyone know if that new parade in MK will be running by then?

Every time we have been to Magic Kingdom on a Monday, it has been terribly crowded. Other parks aren't, but MK is.

We are planning Magic Kingdom on the 31st but we are doing 2 other days there as well. The last time we went was June 2012...as far as I'm concerned when we went in June I think literally the whole world was there lol...I felt like part of a herd of cattle being ushered down Main Street at rope drop lol. I am hoping this will not be the case the end of March lol but we shall see lol

Wow I don't know why I thought Monday would be a least crowded day in Disney lol.

I just don't want to feel like we wasted the day if we can't do much with the crowds. I have never experience outside of sept/October which is low season

Central florida schools go back on Monday the 31st. They are out the whole week before, i would go Monday.

I'm also going end of March/early April. I find it interesting Touring Plans has a 5 for the 31st while easywdw has a 7. I will admit it has a level 6 for MK but the overall crowd is listed at a 5.

Why the big difference?

Not yet, it is too early.

I am assuming 3 o'clock since it is replacing the previous 3 o'clock parade but it is the perfect time for Disney to change those times. So nothing available yet to show a concrete time.

Last year the weather was pretty cool down here. We were all the way down in the Keys and we froze. When we got home (Tampa Bay area), our neighbors had plowed through all their fire wood.

You may get very warm weather but you'll need to pack for the chilly stuff, too.
