For those who missed the "maddening mishap" by the WL management, see Day Two at the Lodge for the details! Here is the conclusion:

We were all pretty eager to hit the pool for the first time after settling the credit card issue. What a nice way to relax after a long day! DS couldn't get enough of the water slide! The pool is 3.5 feet deep at it's most shallow and was too deep for our kids who can not swim. (There is a separate shallow "kiddie pool.") However, with one of us positioned at the foot of the slide, they had a blast. In fact, later in the week, we got smart and borrowed a life vest from the boat rental by the lake (no charge). Wish we had known to do this sooner! With the life vest, DS was more confident in moving about the pool more independently. Personally, I liked that the kids could get in the hot tubs, too, because it meant I could take one in with me (and not have to wait for a free moment when DH had them both). (I realize, of course, others may feel differently about this! The kids that were in with me and DD, though, were all very polite and well behaved!)

We returned to the room rather hungry at this point (about 8:30) and were pleasantly surprised to see that room service had brought up a tray of milk and cookies! I was happy to see that management had at least made an effort to acknowledge their error and our inconvenience. They even went a step further on our last night and sent up a delicious chocolate cake for DH's birthday! While we were initially steamed with their huge error in judgement, the cookies were a nice gesture and the birthday cake definately lit the flames of forgiveness!

(Sidebar: Forgot to mention that we also squeezed in Muppets 3D show at MGM that evening - loads of fun and giggles for all of us! - A great reprieve after the frustration of the afternoon!)

After filling up on cookies and milk and getting dressed, we went to the beach to watch the Electric Water Pageant. We all really enjoyed this and even met a family from our neighboring town! I think the Water Pageant is a wonderful bonus for staying at a MK resort! We watched it 2 - 3 times during our stay! (Played a guessing game the next time as to which creature would light up next!)

Beginning Day Three at the Lodge . . .

Forgot to mention that Bug Spray is essential, especially near the water at night! Even with the spray, we all had a few bites to bear the next day!

Wonderful reviews ~ Thanx for sharing!!!!
