End of April trip...?

We are waiting to pass ROFR on a BWV contract. We had planned to visit Vero Beach and WDW for a week beginning 4/23. We were *hoping* to be able to use our points at this time.

What do you think our chances are? We're looking to get a Deluxe Inn room at Vero and anything from a studio to a 2 br at WDW (we'll be flexible!) at any of the DVC resorts.

Can anyone give me their best guess as to whether we'll get something? We probably won't hear about ROFR for 2 weeks and IF we pass we won't be closed and in the system until at the earliest late October?! At that point, will we have a chance of getting a villa, what's your best guess and best advice ?

Easter is early next year (late March), so I think your chances are good. I got a 1 bedroom standard at BWV for April 21 to 25 this year at the 7 month mark and that was New England breaktime. We always stay at OKW the first or second week of May and I've never had a problem at the 7 month mark (1 bedroom). I've never been to Vero, but I can't imagine that late April would be peak season there.

I don't think you will have a problem. That is the end of spring break for a lot of school district's in the northeast. You will be getting there as the last of the spring break people are leaving.

Thanks for the info...I hope you are right . We had hoped that we'd be closing on our contract now. But....the ROFR process got us twice so we're now waiting on contract #3. Let's hope 3rd time's a charm and things sail thru quickly.
