I am thinking of going to WDW next April, Easter is the end of March so I figure the spring breaks should all be done by the end of April as well.
I would like to see the flower and garden show in Epcot too. Would this be a good time to go?

Yes, you've chosen a really nice time to go. You're right....spring break is over, schools aren't out yet, and the Easter crowds are long gone. Weather is nice then...low to mid 80s and without the daily thunderstorms.

After going this year in June/July I am anxious to go during a timeframe that is not so crowded and not so hot and humid!

You still have a really good chance of it starting to be hot. However, I think crowd levels will be great.

The public schools here (NYC) and Long Island are closed the last week of April.
I believe many schools in New England are also out that week.

April is a very good time to go. The weather is not too hot and the crowds are not too big.

If you've never been to WDW, you might want to get a copy of the 2005 Unofficial Guide to WDW when it comes out.

Read it and plan accordingly. Good tips for traveling, touring and eating.

Have a good trip!

Our schools only have the 29th of April off and that is for an in service day. Their Spring break is March 23rd to March 28th.
The colleges let out the first week of May or shortly thereafter. I think that if I go from April 23rd to the 30th I should miss most of the crowds.

FYI Upstate NY schools have Fri March 25 off, and that's it. Their spring break is still in late April ( I believe the 22 ish). But I think this is the year to visit in April with no Easter attached.

The schools here in Westchester NY have spring break the last week of April 2005. We do not have an Easter Break next year, because Easter is so close to the February Winter Break. We are thinking though, that it might be a great time to go to Disney!

Just wanted to add that here in CT our spring break is April 18-22. I was wondering if it would be a good time to go because it seems theres a lot of spring breaks in March? We are thinking of going the end of august 2005 but I would love an earlier trip but dont want to take my DS5 out of kindergarten to go. Also dont want to have to deal with crowds.

We will have the April 16 to the 24th break. I know I'm thinking that will be the next long trip to WDW. It's usually just folks from New England when April doesn't match up with Easter. Lower crowds and great weather.

Whoa ShellyZ -- could we be any closer geographically? Hi from someone who lives a little too close to the Woodstock Fairgrounds.

Hi dgaston  My BIL and SIL live near the fairgrounds. I'm hoping the rest of our group wants to go to Disney in April. It seems like its a little cooler than August and less rain. If not, I guess we'll go without them. LOL. Hope the crowds aren't too bad. Have a great trip. ShelleyZ

Another NY checking in with the last week of april 05 for spring break. That is when we are going. The weather is great, but I am sure after a very cold winter, lots of metro ny's will be heading to see mickey. If it was anything like the mid winter break we went to once, practically the whole polynesian was filled with people from around here. Be prepared. Its still the regular season too, so unless we get a nice ap code at the poly, I have my swan backup plan. Good luck and plan well.

My spring break this year was March 6th-13th, but we didnt really find the parks overly crowded (at least nothing more than we expected). Next year I'm looking to go at the end of April for the lower priced tickets...and hopefully there'll be some discounts for hotels then too :)
