I have heard that this is so well done, and really interactive, but is it geared only to those with young kids? My DD17 and I were interested in seeing it, but not if we are going to be those strange adults who show up for the little kids show. Plus I would hate to take the space from a child if it isn't really ideal for adults as well.

Thoughts?

I've seen guests of all ages chosen as participants. Your daughter might get to play Maurice or Philippe. For that matter, no one is going to know if you're there with kids or not - they're going to be too busy looking at their own kids holding a salt shaker or playing the role of Mrs. Potts.

Last week I was there as a solo adult male, just enjoying seeing everyone enjoying the experience.

And there are several thousand guests a day going through the attraction, so two of you aren't going to be taking a spot from anyone. It's not a case of there being exactly a fixed number of guests in each showing.

It's your vacation and you are entitled to see what shows you want, meet what characters you want and d what attractions you want (so as you follow Disney's policies and guidelines).

It's perfectly fine for you to do ETwB.

Definitely do it! I've done ETWB twice, and neither time did we have children with us. It is worth seeing at least once - it's very well done.

You need to do it at least once. I went with my DN7 and she took part in the show, but they also have a couple of parts for adults too, so you won't be taking anything away from a child, besides, you paid just as much for your vacation as someone else did. When I go back I am planning on going again even without children. It may not be something that I do every time, but I will do it a few times before I decide that it is a been there done that thing.

My sisters and I saw it when we went in November for our sisters trip. We are 30, 29, and 25 respectively. We didn't participate but we watched and thought it was super cute. I think its a must see at least once when you go. And it's cute to see all the little kids interact with her. It made me excited for my own daughter to do it when we take her this June. :)

Last time we went, I was prompting my DD to take a part, and they gave it to me instead. So, yes, adults participate.

I got chosen to be a knight. DS didn't get chosen for a part, but then they said is there anyone else who wanted a part that didn't get one, and my DS wanted one so they gave him and a few other kids dishes to hold. Its mainly for kids, but there were a few adults chosen. Just like any other interactive show in WDW, some get chosen, some don't, but it was still enjoyable.

I went to it as a solo adult male. Nobody gave me a second look. I was not chosen for a role, but I stood in the back. It is worth seeing for the mirror alone! Do not hesitate to check it out.

the first time I went to this show, it was at midnight on a late closing and there were no children. The entire audience was adults. This means the entire show "guest cast" were adults. It was a hoot. The CMs carried on just as if there were children to work with.

Even in the daytime, lots of folks go without little children. There are a couple of parts they choose adults for. It's a continuous show, so I wouldn't worry so much about "taking space from a child."

Oh, we *have to* try this next time! The hard part will be staying awake late enough!

Thats funny...

One late night we rode Pirates with two other couples about our age...no kids. That ride became more of a booze cruise than a disney attraction by the time we hit the first skeleton.

Oh, man, I might try this on my next trip. Got a 1AM night at MK. Was it crowded to get into?

I have done a late night showing on a previous trip, but had a problem with there not being enough of a crowd. The cast members told us they wouldn't run the show if there weren't enough people waiting, so we actually had to flag people down to join us.

speaking for the the people with small children(dd2 and dd4)community :goodvibes in now way would we think it would be weird if you and your 17 year old daughter were to attend or participate in the show its disneyworld and you and she are entitled to do whatever you want. enjoy the show!

Nobody can tell who has kids in there anyway. If you're self conscious about it just look sternly towards the kids piled up in front and yell "Travis! Let go of your sister's hair!" every now and then.

I went with my mom (we are ages 31 and 63!) and we felt totally comfortable. We absolutely loved it. None of the kids involved were with us, but seeing their joy was magical even though they were all strangers. You will have a great time :)

LOL! That sounds like a plan.

Thanks to all for the input. I really just wanted to make sure that it was going to be entertaining for adults, as well as kids. I don't think I would want to participate - I am one of those who prefers not to do that. I got picked in the Laugh Floor one time, and was freaked out for an hour afterwards! My DD and DH on the other hand, LOVE to be the center of attention, so maybe they will both come along.
