Enchanted tales with Belle and Turtle Talk with kids who don't speak English?

This might be a strange question but...
We are French Canadians. My husband and myself speak fluent English; my DS4 understands a little bit of English but does not really speak it, and my DD2 does not get a word of English.
Would they still enjoy ETWB and Turtle Talk?

I think that understanding English is pretty critical to the enjoyment of both

Definitely not turtle talk. My kids were similar ages and only speak English but they were restless during it.
Enchanted Tales might be better since they're acting stuff out and there is a parade at the end. Do they like Beauty and the Beast?

Since they're acting things out, they need to be able to follow simple directions given in English

I would say Enchanted Tales would be enjoyable - it's a lot of acting that non-English speakers could pick up on and enjoy. You could translate for them their role if they wanted one., and there are props to support. The special effects are also neat and worth seeing.

I don't think Turtle Talk would be as fun, though. It's a Q and A format and a lot of it would go over their heads if they did not understand English.

You may want to spend some time in the France pavilion. The Cast Members love interacting in French with guests. My daughter is in French Immersion and is so proud when we stop in so she can "show off" her skills :)

Thank you for your replies
It sounds like Turtle Talk would offer very little for my kids
I think I will try Enchanted Tales because they love beauty and the beast and will love to see Lumière and Belle... my son is currently in English Immersion at preK so I guess when time for our trip comes he will at least understand a lot more...
And thanks for the France Pavillon idea, I hadn’t thought about that!

Keep in mind that none of the assigned rolls have a speaking part. The CM will make sure the kids know when they are suppose to go out to where Belle is.

If the kids aren't comfortable getting an assigned roll. Then just have them be part of the audience.

Also, your kids can get a picture with Belle at the end of the performance, even if they don't have a part. They can just go line up with the performers, who will be waiting for their picture with Belle. You can stand with them to help them navigate/translate.

Yes actually that picture with Belle is one of the major reasons I am considering this!
If they want to participate, can I stand with them to translate or would that be weird?

Not Turtle Talk, but definitely Belle. If they know the story, they'll understand the retelling of it with the props and interaction. My grandson's kindergarten class once planned a field trip to see the play "Aladdin", not realizing this showing would be in Spanish for Spanish speaking children. Our kids knew exactly what was happening, sang along with the songs (in English), and got a very good cultural experience. Plus my grandson then decided he wanted to learn to speak another language one day. So we started right then!
