Enchanted/Question

I just got back from seeing Enchanted. It was a really great movie! I actually havnt seen a Disney film in the theater in a few years but I really wanted to see this and I'm glad I did! I loved how they had references to other disney movies (snow white, sleeping beauty...)

I want a Giselle now


Normally I dont like/cant stand romantic movies because most of them are about straight people. I think that the disney movies are the only ones I can actually stand to watch. I dont know why. I think because the way I see it is in Disney films the movies are about your dreams coming true and...I dont know how to explain it.

But my question is do you think that they would ever, I know it would cause a big controversy and some people would be all angry about it, but do you think they would ever make a movie like this (as in the princess finding her prince) but with a same sex relationship?

I think.. and I am straight woman, it may happen, but and here is that big but, I think they might have to gear the marketing to adults because wouldn't there be those people out there who would go over the edge if it was geared for children saying what kind of message are you trying to give our kids.....I would go see it, one of my favorite movies is Different for Girls with Rupert Graves, who I love, very interesting movie. So I gave it to a friend to watch as I thought it was excellent, she was horrified and turned it off in the beginning.. I am like what?????how can you be my friend and not get it.. OH well, see they are out there and sometimes we do not even know they think that way.

I am sort of thinking out loud when I am buying books for my grandson I do not see a lot on books with same sex parents and they should be there.. I do look quiet extensively too.

I hope you find your Giselle, wasn't Amy just great in that role. I loved the movie too, it has all the Disney nuances that we all love with just the perfect evil parts too.. They did a great job on this.
