If you were on a three night cruise, and you had to pick one MDR to skip for Palo, which would you eat at and why? I was originally going to try to still eat at Enchanted Garden, but now I see it tends to be open for lunch, so wondering if we should do Royal Palace to experience something different. This is our first cruise.

Thank you!

I have always felt crowded at Enchanted Garden, so that’s the one I would skip. I also prefer the menu at Royal Palace.

I didn't vote in the poll because I wasn't sure whether it was asking which dining room to choose or skip.
If I were to pick which one to eat at, I would pick Royal Palace. Its so pretty and elegant. It's more open. Enchanted Garden is definitely crowded and in my opinion very loud. The busing stations are close to the tables as well. Lots of dishes and silverware clanking. We also prefer the menu at Royal Palace. If I recall correctly, Enchanted Garden served breakfast, we ate there on our last cruise. (Last October)

Just understand that while you can request to be in a certain MDR for a given night, it is just a request. There is no guarantee that you'll get the rotation you ask for.

Since this is your first cruise, don't overthink it. Pick which night you want to go to Palo (also with the understanding that by the time you can make your onboard reservations that everything may still be available or nothing may be available), and then just go with the flow for whatever dining rotation you get. Or skip Palo and experience all of the MDR dinners.

Everything you read on these boards is a matter of opinion. There is NO "right answer". Ask people to rank the shows and some people will say Golden Mickeys is the best and some will say Golden Mickeys is the worst. There is no guarantee that the people who give you MDR rankings will agree with your personality.

I also did a 3 night cruise for our first try. We enjoyed it so we followed it up with a 7 night. You aren't going to do everything on a 3 night; just enjoy getting a taste of DCL.

I loved them both, so I don't think you can go wrong either way. Royal Palace is more regal and fancy IMO. Enchanted Garden is magical, I love the lighting effects!

I would skip Royal Palace. As someone who is gluten-free and doesn't eat things that swim and doesn't like duck it's a lot harder for me to find something on the menu without resorting to the always available selections.

I agree in the not voting - it is not clear if you are asking which to eat at or which to skip.

disneycruiselineblog.com take a look at this blog, it has the menus for each. See which menu you like and eat there. I would rather eat at Palo for brunch. I didn't vote, because they each have things I really like and don't care for at all.

While Royal Palace is more elegant, I prefer Enchanted Garden. It's beautiful, and the lighting effects make it very whimsical.

Having been to both numerous times, I do not care which one I miss. We always do one Palo meal that we time out to be sure we dont miss Animators, so we always miss one or the other.

I would choose to skip Enchanted Garden. I voted above, assuming it was asking which I would keep, so my vote went to Royal Palace.

Both are beautiful with great food, so whichever you choose, you'll have a great time. Just make sure to book a placeholder before leaving the ship, so you can come back again (with a discount) and do the one you missed.

Not sure if this helps as I know things can and will change. But just got off the Disney Dream and Enchanted Garden was open each morning for a buffet breakfast. Royal Palace was open for sit down breakfast and also sit down lunch. So you'll likely have the chance to "experience" the ambience of either if you miss out on one of the dinners.

They had Anna and Elsa meet n greets in Animators Palette so it was never open for any meals but dinner. Again, that's just my one cruise experience but it was super recent!

My fave meal for food alone was enchanted garden.

Voted for Royal Palace to eat at. EG, in my opinion, gets a lot of attention because of those special booth things in the middle. But most people are at regular tables. But DW was lucky enough to snag one of the good tables at lunch.

I can’t decide if the poll is asking which one to go to or which one to skip so I didn’t vote. I clearly need more coffee:surfweb:. We loved Enchanted Garden, found the sea bass and prime rib to be superb. Every other item that we ate on the ship all week was mediocre and forgettable, so I would go out of my way to eat there again.
