Does anyone know if 5 people can fit in the circular booths at Enchanted Garden? If not, my daughter will have another reason to hate being a family of 5. She's still not over the time we were picked to be family of the day at Epcot but then they rejected us bc only 4 people fit in the Test Track car.

IMO, the booths are not good for over 3 people max. We had 4 at our and the table size really limits how many plates, cups, and other items normally on tables can be place there. And we wound up knocking knees with our tablemates more often than was comfortable for me (a problem if you are seated with non-relatives).

Seating space is quite comfortable for 4 people, but, due to the fact that you are all facing inward, there's not much space in the center of the booth/table. And, be careful with the step up to the table, as well as the decorative trim that trips you up as you sit down.

We (family of 4) were seated at one of the booths. We had enough room for the 4 of us but the table was very crowded. I do not think they would sit a group of 5 here.

Thanks for posting that picture...it's hard to tell from the website pictures but your pic shows we definitely won't fit. Oh well, we still love our 3rd child lol!!

OP - there are relatively few circular booths anyway and you are much more likely to be assigned a regular table regardless of party size. However, you could take your DD there for breakfast or lunch one day for a special mommy-daughter meal. You might have to wait for a booth to be available, but that way she could experience it.

Enjoy your cruise!

We were VERY comfortable with four adults, and I've seen a Disney photo if a family of two adults and three children. From our experience, adding a fifth person of any size might just be the tipping point between comfortable and crowded.

We are a family of 4 and we sat in a circular booth on our first Dream cruise in 2011. With 2 adults, our 11-y.o. daughter and 7-y.o. son, we knocked knees a lot, but the table got really cramped once the food started coming. I don't think that 5 entree plates would fit on the table. My kids are now 4 years older and if we were shown to one of these, I'd ask to be re-seated.

Bummer on the Epcot FotD rejection. I thought the Test Track cars held 6, but I could be mistaken...

You aren't.

We requested to sit at a circular booth for lunch embarkation day but once we sat down and had the drinks realized that it was going to be way too cramped for the four of us, especially with a buffet where people on the ends have to get up every time the middle wants to get up or sit back down.

When they still had an internal rope at rope drop, they had a FotD who would ride off in a TT car. It wasn't exactly like the ones on the ride, and had to have a CM actually drive it, so it wouldn't fit 6 .

ETA: we've been assigned a tea cup table on both of our Fantasy cruises. We are a family of four, but my girls and I are all petite. We didn't find it crowded.

Ahhh... I don't think I've ever done Epcot at "rope drop" before (at least when they did it). You learn something new on the DIS everyday...

We were a party of 3. 2 of us are skinnier and then there's me. It was pretty crowded. Granted my son is 6-6 and skinny as a rail - but those legs need to go somewhere.

If we were to get assigned to those tables again, we will ask to be moved.

But I CAN understand where your DD is coming from - I thought we were sooooooo lucky and it was totally cool that one of those was our table (the really neat stuff rarely happens to / for us). That feeling was short lived. But on the other hand we had AWESOME servers!!

We were on the Fantasy a few weeks ago, and they had a high chair positioned right in the middle by the step. I think there were 4 people in the booth, and the high chair, I cringed. It looked like an accident waiting to happen.

We had a party of 10 on our last cruise, so I knew we wouldn't get one of those fun booths. Our first morning, my daughter and I went to EG for breakfast (a nice quiet breakfast away from the rest of our crazy family!) and we were so pleasantly surprised when they seated us in one of the booths. We did feel like royalty for an hour or so. :)

Yes that's exactly right. It was many years ago and my 2 older ones were able to get to the internal rope faster than the rest of us. I got to the rope a few people down from them and DH was with the youngest who was in the stroller a few people back from me. The CM's really took to my kids and talked to them for a long time. DD told them "my parents are back there" and she never said anything about a brother in a stroller. After they found out there were actually 5 of us they moved along to another family and DD still isn't over it and swears she's only having 2 kids :rolleyes:

We definitely won't fit, the kids are teenagers with the shortest being 5'10"...for some reason I thought they were a little bigger but I guess I never stopped to really look at them when walking to our table.

Edited to add...DD didn't hide her brother on purpose, she didn't realize they were asking for family of the day until after the fact, they never used that term when talking to her. If she had she would have hid her brother on purpose!!

You could go to Enchanted Garden and have breakfast or lunch alone with her and be comfortable in one of those booths.

Best idea!! I really wanted these on our last cruise on the Fantasy, so we ate breakfast there one day and asked for it. It was cute but such a pain getting up/down for the buffet. And there's a step up into the booth which I kept forgetting about!
