Empty boat on Magic!!

My server on the Magic said that he had lost his sense of smell due to the daily testing.
Thats awful. It's too bad they can't use the saliva based tests for daily testers. DD21s college was doing pooled saliva testing last year which is much less invasive.

We are on the March 5 Marvel Day at Sea on the Magic and I was curious about load numbers as all well.
I know it is pretty close but it is still 37 days away. I don't expect load to change drastically from what is already booked.

How is room steward service been lately? Are they doing normal daily service? I know on land hotels are staying away from servicing.

You still get the full room host experience on the ships. Twice a day service with chocolates and towel animals. It's nothing at all like the absolutely terrible service that WDW is getting away with at their hotels now.

The service was just as great as always. Highly recommend cruising now if u can. Covid limits pix and masks indoors, but really worth all that and more … no lines for anything

This is the first cruise we have done where we went into the pools. They never hit capacity limits of 13 people! There was occasionally a 5-10 min wait for the family hot tubs as they were limited to one family. Never had a wait for adult area hot tubs. Slides had no wait most of the time. Rarely 1-2 kids in front of us. This was the case every day of the cruise.

How are the waits for the pool with the limited capacity? My kids really enjoy swimming and would swim all day if they could!

This is what we observed. If no one was waiting, the lifeguards just did their regular monitoring. If a line formed, they would wait 10 minutes and then clear the pool. The new people could get in and the people that got could just join the line again many being able to get right back in the pool. There were about 800 guests on the 1/17 Magic

Goodness yall make me want to jump on the magic and wonder! The fantasy is still 1200+ per sailing

What's this about pool capacity? Is this published?
Does this just cover 13 people in the water at a time or also around the pool? I am confused.

Does anyone have any feedback on the Marvel Day at Sea and what we can expect?
Is it normal with characters and shows or has anything been cut?

I do not know if they have ever published specific numbers, but the Know Before You Go info references that some activities may be limited. The number of people references those in the pool. This would include if you are sitting on the edge of the pool next to the water, but not on the pool deck.

We sail Monday on the magic and 5 cabanas opened up for our first day at castaway cay, and 3 for day two( we are a double dip). That was when I looked so there could have been more. Feeling like we will have an empty ship...

If I had seen that I would have been tempted to book one...we are on the same cruise.

The 13 was the number posted by the pool. It may change on different sailings, but thats what it was for mdas last week.

I don’t think anything was cut from our mdas. Character pix were distanced. Show went twice for the mickey marvel party and the marvel deck show.

Also, fyi, edge was consistently empty. My kids actually wished for more friends to play with, but it was great that they could participate in everything without waiting to join games, etc.

I went up to the vibe myself once to see it and there was not a soul there.
