That edamame was NOT enough to share!! Everything looked yummy!
So agreed! We should have ordered at least 2!
The meal looks good! I'd lean towards the sushi! I had never had it before moving to CA and now I love it!
More vegetable tempura would have been good! I love it when they do squash tempura! And Broccoli is good too!
I love any type of veggie tempura but my favorites are the sweet potato, zucchini, and broccoli! Oh, and onion... I suppose that is called onion rings!!
This is my first DR that I'm subbing into!
I am ashamed to say that I didn't know that Tokyo Dining existed.

I guess I just haven't heard a lot about it??? In my defense, I am still learning a LOT about the dining in WDW
Growing up, we never had a "real" meal at WDW. I'm willing to learn though!
Hi Christen! Thanks for joining! Tokyo Dining is in the same building as Teppan Edo. They are both in an upstairs part of the pavillion facing WS lagoon. You are certainly in a good place to learn about Disney Dining with all of the experts on the dining boards. I'm still learning to and have so many more to try!
Wow, you are two for three on the impression scale it seems!! My goodness, I am not a sushi person, but your tempura and the chicken/rice combo look wonderful! I've not eaten there yet, as it is hard to bypass Teppan Edo.
Looking forward to more yumminess!!
I had a hard time chosing between TE and TD so this time we just booked both!
I tried Tokyo Dining for the first time last year and really liked it. The ambiance was modern and peaceful, the food was solid, the service was great, and the view of the lagoon was awesome. I'm so happy to see that your meal there was very good overall! I have to try that chocolate ginger cake sometime. And the origami is beautiful.
I think you've tried about every restaurant in WDW!!

That makes you well rounded in your expertise!
TE/TD always have such wonderful gracious service.
Joining in..a little late. Tokyo dining looks so yummy! I will have to place that on my list. The Tempura shrimp looks very light (well as light as fried food can be). We loved Cape May for breakfast too. Keep your wonderful reviews coming!
Hi there! Thanks for joining! The shrimp tempura was perfect! I should have just ordered the Ebi (tempura shrimp meal) but then I would have wanted more veggies. It was all good and I was satisfied so I suppose mission accomplished!
Oh my, I can't believe I hadn't realised you had started your reviews. My apologies for my tardiness, I will try to do better as we go through.
Great start to your reviews. Your plane food looked WAY better than ours - obviously the difference between first class and economy. And a real glass as well. My, how the other half live
That pizza from the BW pizza window looked completely gross. And how grumpy is that pizza window guy. I think there should now be an open DIS challenge to try and get the guy to crack a smile
Tokyo Dining looked great (apart from that gross-out kissing picture

), as did your breakfast at Cape May. Although we ended up quite liking the Beach Club, the one thing I hated about it was the smell from Cape May in the evening. We are NOT fans of fish and seafood and the smell of the clam bake made us both feel rather ill so we tried to avoid that area while dinner was being served. I think I might try breakfast though, it looked really good. You can't go wrong with any meal that involves Mickey waffles
Hi there Joh!!! Between you and Jabead you may have others' following behind trying to get "Eddie" (pizza window dude) to smile!!!
I have to say that I'm not a huge seafood (really fish) fan so any fishy smell would drive me away as well.
You are soooo funny! Good think Michael and I didn't get smoochy in front of you and Gary!!!
Great meal at Tokyo Dining! We really like it there too. We go out for sushi alot at home so we usually don't make a reservation in favor of places that have food we can't get as readily at home, then by the end of the trip we find ourselves craving it. Fortunately, we've been able to walk-in with no reservations the last few trips (even on a Saturday night!). I love the atmosphere and the service is always so gracious.
I agree that TD is really no better than other Japanese or sushi places but they have consistently been good enough and the service is always wonderful so we book it. That's so good that you have been able to dine withour ADRs. We noticed the boards in the parks that showed availability at many TS restaurants that day. Interesting since I think
Free Dining was in place during our dates.
I haven't seen many Tokyo Dining reviews. That looks quite good as I am a huge sushi fan.
Great, great review. Look forward to more!
Sushi fans may really like this place.
Thanks for reading!

I was about to pay Michael a compliment regarding this but then after looking at your other pics, I'm thinking now that you were not seated by a window. So perhaps this was more a case of "out of sight, out of mind"???

I think I have finally stopped giggling after have full blown hysteria over your funny comments - especially this one. He really is an "oh look at the shiny lights" ADD type!!!
Whoa, you really weren't very hungry if you wanted to share this meal! Let's see, that would be 3 bites of chicken, 1 piece of broccoli, 1 1/2 baby carrots, 6 green beans, and a tblsp. of rice! Now I know why you are so slim and trim, Brenda!
Well, that and all the miles you run everyday!
Ha!!!
You had me wondering what I was thinking but I looked up what I ate last time and I think I have an answer... We went there for dinner last time and they give you more chicken - the veggies look the same. Here's my plate last time:
Yay, it's the first picture text I received from you!!! Well, actually that isn't completely true because my DS actually got it first. We had gone out for lunch that day and he had forgotten his phone at home. Of course, he couldn't possibly be without a phone (and in constant contact with his friends) so he borrowed mine. When your text came in, he announced to everyone..."Mom just got a text from someone named Brenda with a picture of a pretty lady." Boy did I get a strange look from my DH right about then!
Again, so funny!!
Being the mature adult that I am, I have just one thing to say regarding this photo...

Ha! Love=check, marriage=check, baby=check, check, check, check!!!
The tempura shrimp and edamame at Tokyo Dining look very yummy to me.
You and your husband are so cute! Looks like everyone is having a good time.
Thanks so much! This was a good meal!
I feel like a DISBoards hobo hopping on the dining review train after it has already left the station, but here I am!
Loving it so far! That chocolate ginger cake looks scrumptious. ^.^ Can't wait to read more!
Hi there Rumpletiker - thank you for joining!!! No worries about joing late you are just in time and I'm glad you are here! Michael and Em will confirm that the chocolate ginger cake was indeed scruptious.
I'm late, but here!! LOL! I'm loving your dining report! I am so anxious to read more!!
Love the hot towels!! LOL! I can't wait to read more!! I'm laughing hysterically at your kissing photo. Too funny!!
Hi Michelle!! Thanks for joining!!!

You know what happens when you take kids to dinner - gotta keep an eye on them! Even when they are 50!
