EMM now being offered at DHS! Epcot to follow?

Do you mean $35-50 for EACH person for breakfast? What are you guys ordering? Just wondering how someone can spend that kind of money at one of the resorts.

Yes, each. We spend that much quite easily either doing character breakfasts or ordering room service, which is what we do every day.

Anybody else just getting tired of the ever changing hours and all the extra fees for stuff? Just open the park when you said you would, when we poor suckers were trying to plan this 6 months-1 year-2 years-6 months ago, and stop charging extra for stuff that should be included, Disney.

Just. Stop.

Fire the little marketing "geniuses" you keep picking up at Wharton in hopes of wringing every last nickle out of the faithful, and get back to basics.

Fix the rides, build some new ones, and knock it off with the triple charging--before you have no faithful left. (The email memo I would send to Disney's CEO if I could.)

Next up: A rope drop premium hard ticket cost, with a Welcome Show viewing fee.

Honestly, we are considering moving to Universal after this next trip. Seems more reasonably priced and with loads of new attractions. And believe me, I never thought I would say that. It makes me kinda sad. But truly; enough is enough.

100 times yes. It just leaves such a bad taste in your mouth and I swear it's something new every day.

LOL. I have to agree with you. We are never at rope drop or rushing around "trying to get everything done". We take our time, sleep in some days, have a nice long breakfast. I never understood the people who say we get to the parks at rope drop and "get a lot done by 11", like once the rides are done, they got something done under their belt. We don't vacation that way, not enjoyable to us but a lot of people do.
That is the way we used to do our trips to Disney. Try to get as much done as we could as fast as we could :crazy2:. Not any more, it is to hot to do that and it makes a person grouchy.
We did a lot more taking it easy this last trip. We even had a EMM reserved at MK but cancelled it because we wanted to sleep in.
We were at only one rope drop this trip and it was because we were staying at BC and the park was Epcot which was about a 5 minute walk
We only went to the parks half a day this trip and spent the rest of the time at our resort. I know if it was our only trip to Disney we would probably try to cram as much in as possible, but we go every year. So I can understand the ones that do not go often trying to get everything done .

Us too. We are staying at BC this year for the first time, looking forward to it and relaxing and enjoying our time there. We have 8 day tickets plus 1 day of a water park. I do understand people that might go every 5 years or more, trying to get everything done, but like you, we go yearly and love just enjoying being at Disney. Hope the beach club was everything it is supposed to be for your family.

I personally do not quite get the concept of trying to rush and get it over with to race around and get other parks "done". Is it a vacation or a root canal?
:thumbsup2

$69 for an hour for two rides and a couple of meet and greets? And then what will likely be a mediocre breakfast? (I hope I'm wrong.)

Wow, what's next?

I think if people keep buying tickets to stuff like this, monetizing what is already there during normal operation hours (whatever those are) under a normal ticket (minus the included mediocre food) -- I'd say possibilities are limitless. Wait for the a.m. park ticket that runs till 3 and the p.m. park ticket that you'll need to purchase if you want to be in the park for Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes.
Or a.m. park ticket to make it in for Jedi training....p.m. park ticket if you want to see Fantasmic or Star Wars fireworks....etc.

Make sure you make a reservation for Cape May Cafe and Beaches and Cream. We wanted to try Captain's Grille but didnt get to.

Since the sunsets around 7:00-7:15 in the fall, I'm not sure that means much. I just have never had this much trouble making my plans before.

I think she orders room service. We're the opposite kind of family that just eats in our room.
Yeah, I hear you about the planning. I've had such a hard time this time. I just don't know how the September AK close time is going to work with the nighttime things. Really isn't I think. Cannot do EE in the dark, nighttime safari, tree awakings, and JB/ROL show when the sunset is at close. I just don't know how. Or if they are even going to do the night stuff anyways since nothing has been said. Nor anything about the Star Wars fireworks. I'm planning like this stuff is happening but who knows!

:thumbsup2

Yes, seems like a very sad possibility.

It says they are not.

They are refundable. We had to cancel one of ours and rebook because I wanted to add my daughter and since she's 4 it wouldn't let me make a reservation for just her. So I cancelled my single reservation and booked one for the two of us. I received a refund for my single.

OH my...I wonder how this will affect Jedi training sign Ups? We plan to visit on a Monday in late November and have a PPO ADR for H&V so we can get signed up for JTA.

I'm slightly annoyed by this as our first HS day is the 8/3 (the first week). Our hope is to try for JT this day in case our kids slot gets rained out (their show last year was the ONLY one rained out on the day we were there last year ).

I'm hoping that it won't be too big of an issue

Best wishes to you and enjoy your vacation! If you get a chance, let us know how it goes!

This is not one event I would take advantage of, but I see the value for some families. I don't see any negative impact to others who go to DHS.
I can see how MK doesn't affect things after all those people have several lands to disperse to. But look at HS, the park is half-closed so less area to disperse the EMM people. There are very few rides and most of the shows (BAB, IJ) don't start the first hour so at RD there is only so many places for them as well as the regular RD crowd to go. And for my family I wouldn't have chosen those days. Now we are locked in as every day we have ADR's (most hard to get) so to switch we have to be able to rebook not only our HS ADR's but the other park ADR's to switch days. So yes I think they should announce these a week before the ADR date for the times they start these. I only hope that they don't extend these into early Dec.
