just working out where to be when we are there in JUly, have just checked the EMH , could some one please tell me if the EMH is included in the times or do you count an hour for mornings and how long for evening
i.e if it gives a 9 am opening do we then make that 8 am for EMH, and for the evening say MK on the 14th JUly gives a 12am close but with it being EMH that evening do we make it 1am or are the EMH longer than 1 hour for evening EMH.
hope you can make some sense of this

I am almost positive that you add the hour in the morning to what ever park is having the EMH. In the evening I think the EMH is three hours. You have to look at the calender though to see what park is having EMH on which day. So I think on July 4th, they are not going to do the evening EMH since they are open so late anyway. I hope this makes sense.

thanks for that bcsmom,
so 1 hour in the morning and 3 hours in the evening.
does this mean that on the 14th July MK has emh so will not close till approx 2 or 3 am , not sure if you kow this but just wondering if the park would be open this late.
thanks again

I do not think it will stay open that late. I know the hours on the disney web site are only up until June, but I think you can kind of follow that to see which parks will have the extra magic hours. Check the disney site, and for instance if the MK usually has there EMH on Tues I think it will stay that way, and you add 3 hours. I really would think if a holiday fell on that day though they would not stay open past midnight. We were there for christmas in 03, & the latest they stayed open was midnight. I love evening EMH, because alot of people do not stay out this late. You do know that all of the rides are not open though. They have a list of the one's that will stay open, I think it is on the disney web site.

thankyou for the info, yes i know only certain rides are open , i got the hours for July of this site at the top of the page , gives the park hours up to JULY along with the morning and evening EMH.
Just noticed you go in 19 days, hope you all have a wonderful holiday

I am glad you found that info, when we went I though all of the rides would be open so I was a little sad. But at least most of the good ones are open.

The times posted on the Disney site are the regular park hours for that day, excluding EMH. Whatever park has a morning EMH for that day it will open one hour earlier for Disney resort guests. The evening EMH park will remain open for three additional hours. If the park is scheduled to close at midnight the EMH will run until 3am the next morning.
For the evening EMH you need wristbands that will identify you as Disney resort guests. I suggest you go over to allearsnet.com for an explanation. I also find the park hours are easier to read over there and here on wdwinfo.com rather than the Disney site.

Its not complicated.

This is how EMH works for all parks at all times (until further notice from WDW).

Look up the POSTED open and close times for any day, any park.

If it is a MORNING EMH, then WDW resort guests staying on-property will be allowed entry to THAT park on THAT day starting ONE HOUR before the posted opening time.
At least one person in your party should have a room key-card with them to verify your current hotel status and gain entry.

If it is a EVENING EMH, then WDW resort guests staying on-property will be allowed to stay and ride attractions at THAT park on THAT day for THREE HOURS after the posted closing time.

(So, YES, if MK is sched. to close at midnight, the EMH will run til 3AM! Yep, that's 3 in the morning. No, its not a mistake, that would be 3 full hours after the posted time. 3AM for a posted 12mid close-time. 3AM, yes sir!)

EACH adult needs to show a room key-card and a wristband will be issued to each adult and child that the ride CMs will check to allow entry to each ride.

This 1-hour morning EMH and 3-hour evening EMH rule applies at all 4 parks until further notice from WDW.

The crowd thins quite a bit after midnight and drops rapidly after 1am.

Tales of riding (for instance) Splash Mountain "around and around" without getting out are common.
