EMH?

I am trying to decide on site or off. We always stay on.
We don’t do the buses.
So the real perk has been EMH.

We haven’t been in a while and I’m not sure what those hours are- if it’s worth it or not.

We are thinking of going Easter week so it will be busy.

I’m thinking the emh will be worth it as long as they are offered for a variety of parks.

Long winding post with I guess the question being what are EMH like these days.

now one of the perk is getting fast passes earlier than the general public (offsite) - so yes they still have EMH.

I would say EMH is worth it especially during busy periods such as Easter, in addition, as mentioned by above, there are also other perks such as the early booking window for FP+ and the easiness of consolidating your entire vacation with a Magic Band and being able to charge back from the parks to your resort account..

Now, WDW has given EMH to the DS offsite hotels as well as the 60 day window for FP's, starting the beginning of the year. As with a lot of perks WDW has cut down EMH's but for us we still take advantage of them. Here is April's EMH's.

EMH is so much less valuable than the "old days" when PM EMH was THREE hours instead of two and all 4 Parks had PM EMH(DAK and DHS no longer do).

We stay on property to remain in the Disney Bubble with EMH being a nice extra.

EMH ain't what they used to be. They're still offered at all four parks, but the overall number of total hours of EMH has declined as well as changes to when they're offered (I've seen some comparisons - the decline isn't massive, but still not what they were years ago). As PPs have noted, evening EMH are now 2 hours and only offered at MK and Epcot. All the parks offer 1 hour of morning EMH. Generally, one park per day will offer EMH (morning or evening) - although that may expand at busy times.

I agree that evening EMH going down to 2 hours has reduced the value. As an anecdote - I was at MK's evening EMH about ten days ago (11pm - 1am). While I was able to get a number of rides in (2xBTMRR, POTC, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mtn, HM), the lines still averaged about 15-20 minutes and the park remained fairly crowded until the last half hour. Part of the problem is that non-resort guests can still get in line and reserve FPs right up until evening EMH begin - which means that the lines at the start of EMH and well into the first hour are still clearing out the non-resort guests. The CMs were out at the end of the lines checking MBs at 11pm, but we didn't see the queues go down much until towards the end of the first hour. That's where losing that 3rd hour of EMH hurts. The evening EMH used to feel leisurely and unstructured - personally, it now feels a bit rushed and needing a strategy (which isn't my favorite thing late night in the parks). EMH still have value, but expectations may need to be adjusted.

We did morning emh at mk this year in March and got all of fantasyland done. Then we waited by the rope to get through library square and walked to Frontierland. We then were right on thunder mountain. By noon we had done basically the whole park so I think the morning emh is definitely worth it if you show up early and have a plan.

I don't think EMH is really that great anymore - I miss the extra 3 hours we used to get a night.
