Might seem a silly question but we're unsure so thought I'd check with the experts here. We arrive on Thursday, August 11 at BWV. We have 5 day ParkHopper passes. Our plan was to get checked in and settled, hang around the boardwalk, basically taking it easy. We planned on beginning our adventure on Friday utilizing the tickets through Tuesday.

I just saw the EMH listed on the Disney site and realized on Thursday night (technically Friday) the Magic Kingdom has their extra magic hours from midnight until 3:00 am (Friday). We're all adults (myself, DH, DS and his girlfriend - both adults). We're wondering if we go to the Magic Kingdom after midnight, making it Friday, does that count as Friday, not Thursday, still giving us our 5 day tickets through Tuesday). We'd love to do the late hours but I don't want to lose out on Tuesday.

Does my question make sense? Thanks

thursday night's EMH will count as thursday, even if opening hours extend into friday.
so yes, you would use a day on your ticket thursday night, plus another if you opt to go to a park on friday.

of it this way, most of the people in the park for EMH will have been there before midnight. I would be unfair to charge an extra for people that arrived at 11:59 PM versus 12:01 AM.

I will be there the same time as you, so I have been checking out the EMH for a while. I think you misread the EMH schedule, Thurs the EMHs are a.m. hours, the eve EMH are Fri night 12.p.m. to 3 a.m. Sat morn.

I second this...you scared me! I had to whip out my disney planner to make sure I wasn't wrong!!

I went back and looked (Disney Site) and this is what it has posted.
Am I seeing something incorrectly? I realize they have EMH on Thursday Morning but if you read Friday, August 12 - they are also listed as "12:00 am - 3:00 am".

Magic Kingdom Hours (from Disney Site)

Date Park Hours .
Thursday, August 11 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Extra Magic Hours .
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM .
Friday, August 12 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM Extra Magic Hours .
9:00 AM - 12:00 AM .
Saturday, August 13 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM .
Sunday, August 14 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM .
11:00 PM - 2:00 AM Extra Magic Hours

Just to help OP clarify, EMH typically happens on a different park every day. So the EMH that happens on Thurs is a different park that has EMH on Friday. For example, AK has morning EMH on thursday, and HS has evening EMH on friday. It looks like MK is the exception in this case if it has consecutive EMHs.

The schedule is letting you know that on Friday or any other late night EMHs, the park that HAS the emh will have its hours extended by that much. It would be odd for Disney to open a park for those emh hours ONLY. EMH hours are an extension of the existing park hours on that day, it doesn't exist on its own or else it would be awfully strange for Disney to close a park at 10pm, open it for midnight to 3am, and then close until 9am again.

So the way you were reading it was incorrect, I hope this helps.
