EMH wrist bands at resorts?

A friend of mine was told by her travel agent and then again by a CM on the phone that wrist bands for EMH nights are available after 4pm at resorts. I've never read this and it just sounds wrong to me. Can anyone confirm this? If it's right -- great, it makes life easier. But I suspect that it isn't.

When we were there in August this was not the case. You could only get them in the parks. One particular time we tried to get them after 4 and were told they wouldn't be handing them out until about 2 hrs. before the park closed to those without bands. MK closed at 10:00 that night, so we had to wait until 8ish to get our wristbands!!

How do you get the bands for early park arrival?

If EPCOT is EMH on Tuesday, are the bands available Monday evening or what?

Thanks for any info.

I don't think you can -- I believe the information about getting wristbands at the resorts is false. (It almost sounds like something that would have worked for the old E-Ride nights.) I'm just posting to see if anyone can confirm it or not, but I think that the outcome will be that no one can confirm it.

Wristbands are not needed for morning EMH, since there are no pre-existing non-EMH guests at that time. You just show up at the EMH park in the morning, and present your room keys and park tickets (if separate from room keys), and in you go.

Wristbands are used for evening EMH to allow CM's to distinguish between EMH guests and non-EMH holdover guests from before the park closed, so EMH'ers can ride the attractions late.

If you'll go to the Park Hours link, there is information about EMH and how it works. It'll list where you can pick up wristbands within the parks, and at what time before EMH begins.
