My brother has an annual pass and will not be staying with us at the Polynesian. Will it be possible to bring him in with us on early entry days or are they really strict about every person's resort id? Do children also have/need resort id?

I think sometimes they check and sometimes they don't. Once at MGM they asked just one member of the family to hold up resort ID as they came through. Children do have resort ID.

It depends on the day and the CM, but generally yes ... they will check all adults at the gate for Resort IDs. If the children enter with you, then it will be assumed that they are staying at the resort as well and will not need IDs. If, however, they are teens who will be coming a bit later or if they decide to go through a different turnstile or whatever, then the kids will need to show their own resort IDs as well.

I know that a lot of people manage to slide a non-resort guest through the gates of EMH, but it's important to remember that the benefit is there for the people who are spending the extra money to stay on site. Your brother didn't, so he's not really entitled to the benefit. While you may be able to get him in if the CM isn't checking or whatever, it's just as likely that you won't. So be sure to have a "Plan B" if you decide to give it a try. If he's not permitted to enter with you, be sure to have a place picked out where he'll meet you at 9am, once the park opens to day guests.

My DW and I were there in mid-May. At Epcot the CMs designated a section of the turnstiles for EMH entry. Each person had to show their resort ID before getting in those lines -- even when we arrived at 8:50 a.m. one day!

We didn't do any other EMH mornings, so I don't know if the other parks did the same thing or not.

NONE of us were checked during EMH at MK in April!!!

All three of us had to show our room ID at Disney Studios, MK and AK. We saw people being escorted out of the park when they put their ticket in the machine, walked through the turnstile, then could not produce a room ID.
