EMH vs. E-Ride nights

Have the evening EMH replaced the E-Ride nights? If so is it basically the same thing? I haven't read of any charge for EMH but I rememebr we had to pay for the E-rides last July.

Yes, they are basically the same, except they are a perk for onsite guests. Also, they will be offered at all the parks, not just MK.

It also includes more rides. I'm sure it's also more crowded with no extra charge.

Yes, it seems that EMH is the way to go. Free, if you are on site, and good for ALL of the parks, not just MK. Since E ride nights were also only open to resort guests, I think this is actually a really GREAT deal!

While I absolutely love E-Night, I did cringe a little bit when I had to pay for those tickets on top of the cost of everything else! However, do you think that the fact that this perk is included now with your on-site resort privileges will result in extremely large crowds? That would sort of cancel out the whole point of EMH. Has anyone used this perk yet?

I used it at MGM and MK the first week it was available, and yes, I thought the crowds were much larger than any of the 3 E-ride nights I've done in the past. Remember that for Enites , they'd limit the # of tickets that were sold. Now, anyone who's a Disney resort guest can go to EMH nite. Matter of fact, I left both EMH nites early because of the crowds, and there's no FP in use. I'd rather go during the day when I can use FP.

The E-Ride Night at MK last year was the highlight of our trip. My whole family continues to talk about how much fun we all had. While I like the fact that we don't have to pay the extra for this new way I do fear much larger crowds thus taking away from the appeal. Dare I say I would prefer to pay with limited wristbands than to have contended with the long lines.

I totally agree! If the EMH nights are this crowded now, what's it going to be like in July? We can only hope that E-Ride Nights will return for summer.
