EMH vs. APEE

Anyone care to venture a guess (or educated guess) as to which may be less crowded? We only have one day to be at rope drop for DCA and we do not have any EE privileges there. We are planning either Wed July 11th or Thurs July 12th being our CL morning (the other being a beach day). Seeing as how the park will already be crowed with EMH or APEE people both days, do you think one might be less crowded? Or will they both be equally busy? TIA!

Since there has now been a week of EMH/APEE it gives at least some experiential data. It sounds like APEE is less crowded. But maybe more folks can chime in.

Both will be crowded, but my guess is that the APEE day will be less. Right now we're seeing the early reports of both of these and they seem to be equally crowded. Some of these APEE days, however, this past week, have been open to 3/4 AP types, whereas in July only two out of the 4 APs will be able to experience APEE, and my guess is that those days won't be as crowded when the regular guests enter.

Thanks! I was guessing that might be the case, but wanted some advice from those who may be more "in the know!"

Thanks for asking this question. :goodvibes

I'm not sure how these CMs know this is fact but a few have said this same thing. APEE days are limited to about the same number as thier are onsite hotel guests. If an AP Early Entry day has its reservations maxed out and every hotel guest went it would be the same.

However I think the number of hotel guest who know they can use EMH everyday and are able to go, knocks their numbers down a lot.

I read from a SoCal APH that used both thier EEs before the blockout that in DL it felt the same as a Magic Morning.

FWIW, the folks at Touring Plans recommend visiting DCA on weekday APEE days (Tues. or Thurs.),
if you don't have early entry access to DCA and your schedule is flexible.

From today's MP weekly update (link):

We've asked the statisticians at Touring Plans to keep an eye on Radiator Springs Racers
Fastpass data so we can share it with you to help plan your next trip to Cars Land. According
to their data, distribution of Fastpass tickets for Radiator Springs Racers for the day is usually
exhausted around 9:15 a.m. each day, with the earliest 8:58 and the latest around 9:45. It
also appears that Fastpass distribution ends later on the Annual Passholder Early Entry days
than it does on the days when Magic Morning is offered to hotel guests, a statistic that may
surprise you. While Disney has limited the number of passholders who can attend each Early
Entry session, all Disneyland Resort hotel guests can attend Magic Morning, and there can be
far more people in the park those mornings.

We'll continue to monitor the distribution times over the coming weeks, but if Radiator Springs
Racers is on your must-do list, you must make it your first priority of the day.

If you have early entry access to Disney California Adventure, while you are not allowed to
get a Fastpass before the park opens to the public, you may get in line for a Fastpass before
the park opens to the public. Since readers have reported that Radiator Springs Racers has
opened late several times this last week, cutting into the early entry period, we recommend
that you visit Luigi's Flying Tires and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree first, then send one member
of your party (with all of your park tickets) to get in line for Radiator Springs Racers Fastpass
around 7:45, before DCA opens to the public. They'll still have a bit a wait, but this ensures
you'll get a Fastpass, and that the return time won't be really late in the day.

If you don't have early entry access to DCA and your schedule is flexible, we recommend that
you visit on a Tuesday or Thursday, the two weekdays that feature Annual Passholder Early
Entry. Regardless of when you visit, choose between getting to the park at opening to collect
a Radiator Springs Racers Fastpass (likely with an evening return time), waiting in the stand-
by line, or breaking your party up and going through the Single Rider entrance. Be aware that
the Single Rider line closes whenever it gets too long, so you might need to check back if the
line is closed when you get there. ...

For the "non-privileged" people who are visiting Cars Land this summer, I wonder if there's a
worthwhile difference between EMH vs. APEE? :)

I think it is too early to say much about DCA APEE as there have only been two days of APEE after the blockout started last Friday. That was Saturday and Sunday - the last two days. Much of their stats were taken before the blockout.

Info on the EMH mornings should not change that much pre and post blockout IMO.
