EMH times question

All the Disney World website says is that for evening EMH the park stays open up to 3 hours late. Is 3 hours the standard at all the parks? Also, do they clear the park first and then re-open? Thanks for any input!

Don't know about the standard time, but they don't clear the parks and reopen. Once EMH starts only those with a wristband get on the rides, everybody else (which felt like NOBODY the night we did it) exits at the normal closing time.

Starting approx. 2 hours before the scheduled "normal" closing time, there will be well-marked kiosks set up all over that EMH park.

You stop at any one of them, each member of your party (except for very young children) must show a valid WDW resort key-card. The wrist-bands will then be snapped on each person by a CM.

If you don't get the wrist-bands on before EMH begins, you can also do it DURING the EMH hours, but the lines waiting for the bands tend to be longer by then.

"UP TO" is lawyer-speak.

It means that if "nobody" shows up to an evening EMH (or a hurricane's comin'), they can decide to close a bit early.

I wouldn't worry about it.

3 hours is the "standard length" of Evening EMH's.
