EMH question

OK so this might be a very stupid question, but Iam still learning. We will be arriving in WDW April 18. I wasn't planning on hitting any of the parks until Sunday, Grad night is the 18th and 19th. On Sunday MK has EMH in the evening, the hours on the WDW site say 9-8 does that mean that EMH start at 8? How late do they stay open? What about the parades? I was hoping to head to AK and spend the day go back to hotel and rest and eat and then head over to MK and catch a couple of rides and see the fireworks. What time should we head over to MK? We will be staying at POR.

Hi,

Evening EMH will add three hours to the listed closing time of the park. So if the park hours say the MK closes at 8, then it will be open till 11 for WDW resort guests.

As for the parades and fireworks, they are not affected by EMH. You will find times for parades and fireworks on the official WDW website, or here on the home page of the DIS.

Thanks so much for the info. Wishes is at 10 and spectromagic is at 9& 11. So that works out perfect for us. I wanted to do the parades and fireowrks on a day that we are not going to be at MK all day so that when the parades were going one we could hit some of the more crowded rides.

Double check those grad night dates. Grad dates and EMH dates should not be mixed. Ah, grad nights are Fri and Sat. EMH is on Sunday night... gotcha.

I had already checked when grad night is and I plan to stay away from MK on those nights!! I have just sat down with all of the schedules I printed from the home page on the DIS and I think we will be able to see all of the parades and fantasmic by using EMH days. My kids are a little older (12, 11 & 9) so for them to spend a day in the park and then stay for fireworks or a parade it shouldn't be too difficult. (I Hope )

I would definetly encourage EMH!!! Also AK on sunday is good, b/c from what I have experinced and read is that MK is most crowded on w/e. It def seems that way.
