I have heard that yes, they are out.
We have always done the E-ticket nights.....used to be the same as EMH PM but you paid for it....and the characters were always hanging out in front of the castle.
Look for them there!

We you get to the mk in the morning, there are characters all in front of main street. We always hit toontown because they are in the tent in the back. The best tip I received from this site was with your autograph book. Let the character sign on the right side of the page and then put that picture of the character on the left side. Everybody loved the book!! We now have 3 books filled up. Can't wait to get the next one!!

The new autograph books for the 50th have a slot for pictures like an album on one side and a blank page for the autograph on the other.Guess disney caught on.

Yes the Characters are out during EMH usually in the HUB of MK, and Center stage at Epcot. Not sure about the other parks. This is Evening EMH I am reffering too.

A couple of weeks ago, they had a lot of characters in the hub in front of castle at 11:45 at night! We were able to get DD4's picture with Mickey & Minnie together!

We just returned from 10 days at WDW. The characters were out during EMH evening hours. However, the lines were frequently HUGE during these times. This was especially true at AK -- probably because there really isn't much to do there during EMH after 7 or 8.

We went from May 11-21st. We saw character during MK EMH around the hub area. Mickey and Minnie together, but the line was outrageous. We saw some others that we didn't usually see so it was neat.

We were there this May, too, and saw tons of characters in front of the castle right before the park closed at midnight for EMH. No lines for Goofy, chip and dale, etc.

We went to the late EMH at Magic Kingdom the last week of April. We saw characters in front of the Castle - Terk, Mickey, Minnie, Meeko, and Ratcliffe.

At the late Epcot EMH, we saw Pluto in the corridor between the Fountain and the Land (near Innovations and the big Balls they sell); saw Stitch on the opposite corridor heading from the Fountain towards Universe of Energy/Mission Space. Also found Space Suit Mickey and Goofy right in front of Mission Space.
