EMH official countdown?

Hello hello! While doing some prelim-planning for our trip to the land in October/November next year I have realised that our very first park day will fall on a Tuesday. We are staying on site, so will have the use of EMH. Tuesday's will be EMH for Disneyland. I had been planning to spend the majority if not all of our first day in Disneyland, and had been planning on getting there before rope drop. It will be my friends first trip to Disneyland, so i really wanted to catch the welcome message as I think it will add to the magic and excitement. What i want to know is, if we lined up before park opening (i'm pretty sure they will still do the countdown) will we be "held" at the end of mainstreet and hear the welcome message until EMH officially starts?
